TWO OPEN HOUSES JUNE 20 & 27 - Open to the public -

The Salmon Bay Eagles is welcoming the community this month with two exciting open house events featuring live music and no cover charge.

Saturday, June 20, Sam Rendo and the Country Brunch will take the
stage with a mix of vintage country classics and original alt-country songs. Led by Sam on guitar and vocals, the band also features Vince on bass guitar, Alex on pedal steel slide guitar, and Dylan on drums. Their sound blends timeless country favorites with fresh original material, creating an engaging performance for longtime country fans and new listeners alike.

Saturday, June 27, the Jill Newman Band will bring an evening of high-energy blues and roots music to Salmon Bay Eagles. Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Jill Newman has earned acclaim for her album Little Bit of Luck, receiving praise from the Toronto Blues Society, WA Blues Society Bluesletter, Blues Blast Magazine, and Bluestown Music. Known for soulful vocals, dynamic guitar work, and danceable performances, Newman and her band perform a mix of original songs and standout blues and roots covers.

Better life through Music. Music born from friendship. The Bale Jumpers started as buddies just jamming together, evolving into a band with its own unique energy and intent. Music ranging from rock, country, and bluegrass, to reggae and pop. Reinterpreted standards, covers, originals and beyond. They’ve played gigs large and small, whether opening for Randy Hansen’s Machine Gun, testing out the new Seahawk stadium sound system, playing a private party or holding the roadhouse stage for the whole evening, they will surprise and inspire. Kirk “Tree” Delaurenti Vocals, Guitar, Banjo A background in country music brings crafted vocals and dense melodic guitar work, plus the occasional picking and grinning that puts him at the forefront and makes you want more. Sean Atcheson Bass, Guitar, backing Vocals Brilliant ear and steady undertones. Sean has polished his groove in new wave Los Angeles, and keeps. Previous groups include Out of the Blue and The Pontiacs Tom Miller Harmonica Desert rat from the Southwest, Tom interprets songs with intonation that meanders from traditional blues solos to organic vocal beds. Previous projects include High & Lonesome, Kramer’s TomKats, and the Trolling Stones.

They play traditional Delta, Chicago, Memphis, Hokum & Hill Country Roots Blues from the 20’s & 30’s, as well as a blues twist on some contemporaries.

This Roots Blues Duo are told they are engaging, captivating, funny & soulful.

One of their favorite things to hear is, “I didn’t think I liked the blues until I heard ya’ll”

They do “mashups,” such as John Lee Hookers, Boom Boom & The Clash’s, Should I Stay Or Should I Go,” reflecting the rich influence of the blues from back then, till now.

Deep routed in blues and jazz, he has played with national acts such as Otis Rush, Floyd Dickson, Albert Collins and Margie Evans. He has shared the stage with local legends; Isaac Scott, David Brewer, Robert Cray… Lonnie on wind instruments is joined by Steve Nowak on guitar and vocals, Andrew Seliber on drums, and Patrick Mc Danel on bass. It’s a night you won’t want to miss!
