It has been almost a month since the shooting took place that injured 5 people, 2 of whom were our very own team members. This senseless act of violence has greatly impacted our team, our organization, and our community and we are still recovering and healing from this traumatic incident.

Although we are still recovering, we understand the importance of continuing the Community Healing Space Activation in our neighborhood. It has served as a safe gathering space to connect, grieve, heal, break bread, and get access to resources.

For this reason, we are relaunching the Community Healing Space Activation in the Rainier Beach Safeway parking lot on Friday, August 25th from 2:30-6:30pm. We are inviting EVERYONE to join us in solidarity as we reclaim this sacred space.
