Rylee never stopped smiling, even after cancer took his eye. ❤️

He was a beloved patient at BARC, and his family had just ordered him a Paddington Bear costume so he could bring that famous smile to his next oncology visit.

Sadly, he never made it to that appointment. 💔

But Rylee’s beautiful smile, and the joy he brought to everyone who loved him, live on. 🐾❤️

And that’s what we want to celebrate with our Love Calendar. The pets who have filled our lives with love, joy, and unforgettable memories.

This educational webinar explores how gut microbiome is linked to cancer for dogs and for people. On Thursday, October 15, researchers Dr. Natalia Shulzhenko (Oregon State University) and Dr. Chelsea Tripp (Bridge Animal Referral Center) will walk through the science connecting the gut microbiome to cancer development and treatment response and share how it may be possible to predict survival in dogs receiving immunotherapy.

They'll also introduce an ongoing clinical trial evaluating using oral f***l microbiota transplant pills to help reduce chemotherapy-related GI side effects in dogs.

At the Veterinary Cancer Society conference this week in Minneapolis, around 600 researchers and clinicians are gathered to share the latest findings from their studies through their oral and poster presentations.
