Our March 2nd meeting will feature Tammy Clark from the Novelty Iris Society (https://noveltyiris.org/) sharing "The Magic of Novelty Iris". She is a fun and energetic speaker. Tammie Clark is an avid flower enthusiast and iris collector. She has been growing iris since 2006. Her mother-in-law gifted her a bunch of iris for their new home after moving back to Utah when her husband got out of the Navy. She is the Northwest Area Director for the Novelty Iris Society and enjoys her volunteer work for them. Her passion for novelty iris started when her mother-in-law took her to visit the former Zebra Gardens and she witnessed a field of Brad and Kathie Kasperek's beautiful broken color iris! Tammie 's mother-in-law passed away in 2021 and she decided to do a special trip to different commercial iris gardens around the United States to purchase iris to plant in her honor. With those visits and connections made, her collection has grown not only in iris but the amazing people who are part of the iris loving community! She loves photography and has created two accounts dedicated to iris on Instagram and serves as one of the admins for the Facebook Novelty Iris Society page. When the irises are not blooming, Tammie enjoys teaching fitness classes, baking, canning, traveling and spending time with her family.

If you are interested in attending March 2nd at 7 pm in person or via Zoom, please email [email protected].
