That’s a wrap! Thank you for the incredible conversations and connections this season.

Here are a few highlights:
-We presented six programs and nine concerts ranging from our opening program, Polish Baroque, to our final concert of the season, Q***r Classics.

-19 extraordinary musicians joined us, traveling locally and from across the country. Our guest curators, Hailey McAvoy and Guillermo Salás-Suarez, shared two incredible programs—one centered on caretaking and community, the other on the brilliance of the French Baroque.

-Isa Pagel and Kaylin Wirkman were welcomed as new staff this year, making this the largest team we’ve had.

-After releasing four new videos this season, the Sound Salon YouTube channel has another coming later this month. Be sure to subscribe at the link in our bio so you don’t miss it!

We are grateful to Eric Jacobs who is stepping in on clarinet for Laurie DeLuca who regretfully had to attend to a family emergency. Eric will be joined by Joe Williams and Byron Schenkman on piano.

We are pleased to welcome Kaylin Wirkman (they/she), who joins the organization as Marketing Manager. A familiar face to many in our community, Kaylin has been a vital presence at several of our recent events. They will work alongside Isa Pagel, who will now focus their expertise as Operations Director.

On joining the Sound Salon team, Kaylin shares, “Working with Sound Salon is a meaningful opportunity to build relationships within and contribute to an organization that embodies values I believe wholeheartedly in.” Kaylin emphasizes their priorities will champion longevity and Sound Salon’s inclusive platform, stating, “I am passionate about expanding the reach of, and sustaining the thoughtful programming that Sound Salon produces through listening, intentionality, and movement from behind the scenes to engage sincerely with communities.”

Please say hello to Kaylin at our next concert, Q***r Classics, on the upcoming eve of Pride Month.
