Our first-ever Spring Forward reception brought together educators, advocates, community leaders, and supporters inside Smith Tower last Wednesday, and the conversations that happened there focused optimistically on prevention.

We shared updates on the Everstrong Prevention Portal, our free national resource helping educators, caregivers, and youth-serving organizations talk about healthy relationships, consent, online safety, and digital risk. Six months in: active in 25 states and reaching an estimated 74,000 young people.

We also lifted up the continued work of the Ginny Fund and Empowerment Fund — survivor-centered support for housing, education, transportation, and career development.
This community showed up. Ready to invest in what comes before harm.

We're just getting started. 🌱

We’re excited to welcome Kelly Metzger to the Everstrong team as our new Administrative Assistant and Operations Coordinator! 🎉

Kelly brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her work and is passionate about serving the community by helping create smooth, efficient operations behind the scenes at Everstrong.

Before joining our team, she spent two years in the hospitality industry, where she developed operating procedures and communication plans for a country club — experience that sharpened both her organizational skills and her heart for service.

Kelly graduated from Gonzaga University in 2023 with a BA and considers herself a lifelong learner, something she brings into both her work and everyday life.

Outside the office, you’ll likely find her reading, out on a walk, or cheering on women’s soccer.

We’re so glad to have you here, Kelly! 💙

Prevention doesn't need its own lesson plan.

Our Program Director Tanya Fernandez wrote a practical guide for educators on how to integrate exploitation prevention into everyday classroom moments — through the conversations, lessons, and relationships you're already building.

Whether you're a teacher, school counselor, or a parent looking for conversation starters, there's something here for you. Read it on our blog. 👇

The Empowerment Fund is now accepting applications for 2026!

Created in partnership with the Robins Nest Family Foundation, the Empowerment Fund is dedicated to helping survivors of s*x trafficking and exploitation pursue their dreams and achieve lasting independence.

We all have mountains to climb. 🏔️

Introducing Everstrong Does Everest — a once-in-a-lifetime trek to Mount Everest Basecamp in April 2027, raising funds to prevent child s*x trafficking through education and to support survivors.

This is a big hike. No technical skills required. Just purpose, community, and a willingness to show up for kids who need us.

Can't make it to Nepal? We're creating ways to participate from wherever you are.

Training begins in June. Teams welcome.

Share this with someone who needs a mountain to climb.

We’re proud to welcome Christina Robins to the Everstrong Board of Directors 💙

Christina’s leadership and partnership through the Robins Family Foundation have already helped shape one of our most meaningful programs — the Empowerment Fund. Her commitment to integrity, long-term impact, and community investment strengthens our work as we scale prevention through education.

Empowerment and prevention are not separate strategies. They are part of the same vision: a world where youth are safe from exploitation.

Christina, we’re so grateful for your partnership in this work.
