🧛‍♀️ Meet Scully the Vampire Pug!

Betty came to Evergreen Pug Rescue from The Pug Queen Foundation in California, but since joining Tom’s family in August, she’s taken on a new name and a whole new world of adventures! Please welcome Scully, short for Skull Crusher the Terrible. 😱💀 (Well, that’s certainly a name that commands respect!)

Tom says Scully has really come out of her shell. She loves exploring new places, meeting new people, and—more recently—making new dog friends. Especially when those dogs come with treat-bearing humans. Scully knows how to make friends strategically! 😂

Recently, she attended the Volunteer Park Halloween Pet Parade dressed as a fearsome vampire. 🧛‍♀️🦇 Apparently, her terrifying look wasn’t enough to scare anyone away, because people kept stopping to take her picture and shower her with attention. Scully was absolutely in her element!

From a California rescue to a life full of outings, new friends, and Halloween fame, this little snorty wonder is discovering just how much fun the world can be.

Tom, thank you for opening your heart and home to Scully. We have a feeling Skull Crusher the Terrible is going to keep conquering hearts wherever she goes! ❤️🐾

❤️ Holly’s Story: 11 Months Waiting, A Lifetime of Belonging 🐾

Some adoptions are worth the wait—and Holly’s is a beautiful reminder of why we never give up on finding the right home.

Holly spent 11 months with Evergreen Pug Rescue before finding her forever home with Renee in February. Holly has hind-end weakness and needs help with bladder expression, but Renee looked beyond her disability and saw all the wonderful things Holly had to offer: a social, gentle, affectionate girl who loves people and other dogs.

Now, more than seven months later, Renee admits she’s completely obsessed with her girl—and we can certainly understand why! 🥰

Holly has mastered her wheels and sometimes even chooses to walk alongside her pug siblings, Sir Winston and Lady Clementine, before hopping into her stroller for the next adventure.

She’s a familiar face on the University of Puget Sound campus, where she collects cuddles from Renee’s colleagues and students. She even helped Renee teach a lecture this summer and greeted people at Tacoma Pride Fest! Talk about a pug with a purpose. 🌈🐶

Renee loves having a Velcro pug who wants to be close to her, but she’s just as proud to see Holly growing more independent—sometimes heading outside on her own to soak up the sunshine.

Renee, thank you for seeing Holly for who she is and giving her the opportunity to live such a full, wonderful life. And Holly, we hope you know just how loved you are!

After 11 months of waiting, this special girl found a home where she doesn’t just belong—she gets to be part of everything. ❤️🐾

And that someone is the skeleton dog.

Theo would like to make one thing perfectly clear: IT. IS. NOT. OKAY. 🚫🦴

Who invited this creepy, bony imposter? Why is it staring at him? And most importantly, WHY IS EVERYONE ACTING LIKE THIS IS NORMAL?!

At 7 years young, Theo has seen some things. But this? This is where he draws the line. 😂

🐾 A PUPdate from Ruby 💎🦆

Hi everyone! Ruby here!

Before my Gotcha Day, my name was Ruth. But then I got adopted by this family and they changed my name to Ruby—and they got that right because, obviously, I’m a gem. 💎

My new parents think I’m pretty funny. Probably even funnier than Lexi, the other pug. And then there’s Fletcher, who apparently is a noodle. 🤷‍♀️😂

I also have TWO cats now, Quincy and Madison. Sometimes they’re inside the house and sometimes they’re outside the house. I’m still trying to figure out how that works.

Anyway, things are pretty ducky around here! 🦆😉

Dad even took me to the vet one day, and I laughed ALL the way home because… it wasn’t even the right day! 😂

But I have one very important question:

Do I still get a pup cup? 🐾🥤

This little 1½-year-old girl has had a pretty terrible introduction to life. Sterling was found chained to a pipe outside a home without food, water or shelter—and her future was looking like she’d be used for breeding.

Well… plot twist. 💅 Sterling got rescued.

And this weekend? She’s headed to SEATTLE. 🌲🌲🌲

She’s trading chains for cozy blankets.
Concrete for couches.
Empty bowls for “ma’am, you already had dinner.”
And being used for breeding for being absolutely, ridiculously spoiled.

We have no idea yet if Sterling is a snuggler, a toy hoarder, a professional zoomie athlete or the kind of pug who requires three pillows and her own side of the bed.

But she’s finally going to get the chance to find out. ❤️

The past was lousy. The future? Sterling’s just getting started.

Welcome to the good life, sweet girl. Seattle is waiting for you. 🐾

🐾 Tommy’s Happily Ever After💗💕

Tommy joined his forever family on August 10th, and he’s been settling in more and more every day. ❤️🐾

His sweet personality is really starting to shine, and he’s keeping his family smiling with all of his little quirks.

One of his favorite things? Trying to grab his own leash to take himself for walks whenever the opportunity presents itself! 😂 Apparently, Tommy believes that adventure awaits, and while the other dogs might need to be led around, he can lead himself.🐾

But the sweetest part of his new life is how naturally he has become part of the family. Tommy absolutely adores his new brother and sister, and they adore him right back. Watching the three of them together, you’d never guess they haven’t always been a family.

In fact, his family says it feels like Tommy has been with them forever—like he was always meant to be there. 🥰

They’re also incredibly grateful to Tommy’s foster mom, who gave him so much love, patience, and care before he found his forever home. The confidence and affection he’s showing now are a beautiful reflection of the foundation she gave him.

Today, Tommy is happy, loved, and thriving—and his family says they can’t imagine their home without him.

Sounds like this sweet boy found exactly where he was meant to be. ❤️🐾

Happy life, Tommy! Keep exploring, keep making your family laugh, and maybe let them take you for a walk once in a while. 😉🐶
