Hey BCC: - wanted to give you 2 pieces of news.
First off, the program is going to take a hiatus this year. Lots of terrific changes to Bumbershoot. Back next year with a vengeance. We encourage you to all attend the Festival. It is an amazing lineup and more Arts & Culture than ever before.
Second, bit of news comes from our Dear Friends at SIFF. There are some great filmmaking opportunities like Crash Student throughout the summer, but SIFF also has a brand new class that is going to be a lot of fun for the 13-18 age range happening in August.
The summer Crash Student is coming up this weekend July 11 and then there is another one on August 8 (and Fall dates too). They are creating a film in just 8 hours!
There is also a class in August called Steal That Shot in which Teen Filmmakers will be remaking scenes from classic films to understand how they work. It is a 3 Sunday class that is going to be a lot of fun:

If you know anyone else who might be interested in SIFF, please feel free to forward it on to them!
See you next year or at the Bumbershoot 2015.
Crash Student is based on the Crash Cinema filmmaking challenge fine tuned for high school and college students. Can you create a compelling, cohesive film in just eight hours? Find out at SIFF and NFFTY's Crash Student.
