The legislature is out of session. But we're not.

Right now, across Washington β€” from the Yakima Valley to Bellingham, from Spokane to the Olympic Peninsula β€” we're organizing. Building power. Preparing to walk back into Olympia next year with the voices of people most impacted by the housing crisis leading the way.

Because here's what we know: when the federal safety net frays, state policy becomes the front line. And state policy changes when people organize.

We're in the middle of our spring fundraising campaign and we need your support to keep this work going. Every dollar fuels the organizing, the advocacy, and the movement that makes housing justice possible in Washington.

🏠 Help us raise $30,000 by June 26.

Our goal is to raise at least $30,000 from our community this season to power our work for housing justice! Housing justice is still out of reach for too many, but we know change is possible when we organize together! Donate at https://secure.everyaction.com/bO1cyZay7EGNP4Vzyewdyw2

We just wrapped up a whirlwind 60-day session that had some real wins for housing justice, including passage of HB 2266 to reduce barriers to building affordable and supportive housing statewide, over $800 million (!) invested for affordable housing during the state's current biennial budget period, and the Millionaires Tax.

Now it's time to celebrate! Join us for this virtual community celebration on April 22 @ 5:30pm to recognize the contributions of some incredible advocates and partners.

Senator Alvarado explained why she supports HB 2266 to remove roadblocks and barriers to the creation of life-saving housing and shelter across Washington before the full Senate passed the bill last night. The bill now goes back to the House for concurrence, before it can be sent to the Governor for his signature.

House Bill 2266 has passed in the Senate! Watch Senator Bateman urge her colleagues to pass the bill to ensure communities across Washington will allow permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, and shelter to be sited.
