Forgotten Dogs Rescue Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a foster based nonprofit rescuing homeless dogs in Washington State.

Forgotten Dogs is a foster home based rescue organization located in the Tri-Cities and Seattle areas of Washington State. While Forgotten Dogs will take in any breed, we primarily rescue Pit Bull type dogs and mixes and other bully breeds. We focus on rescuing dogs from shelters, especially in Eastern Washington. ​

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the dogs who have lost all hope—the forgotten dogs. Our Commitment
Once a dog enters the Forgotten Dogs Rescue program, we are committed to it for life. Our dogs live in private foster homes where they receive love, training, and learn to be members of the family. They receive all necessary medical care, and if they come to us with behavioral issues, we invest in training. We are committed to do whatever is necessary to help them become adoptable and find them amazing forever homes. And if at any point an adoption doesn’t work out, we will always welcome the dog back into our program. We make a promise to all of our dogs that they will never again be forgotten.

These two distinguished gentlemen have confirmed their attendance at Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour, and the RSVP list has NEVER been more impressive 💁🏻‍♀️

Both are looking for homes, and both are available for meet and greets (with humans) on ✨Thursday, October 22, 6-8 PM at The W Hotel, 1112 4th Ave, Seattle ✨

Fair warning: They will definitely steal your heart. Plan accordingly.

We've had so many furry friends who have needed our help and we need more fosters! Our crew of fosters get EVERYTHING they need to be successful! From food, vet care, training, and anything else you could need and all you need to bring is love and a soft spot on the couch 🛋

Work a 9 to 5? So do our fosters! We have a team of volunteers to support!
Live in an apartment? Us too! Our trainers help you and pups find a great exercise routine for the pup
Can only foster for a short time? Short term fosters are a huge help with our long term ones are away

NEW DOG ALERT! Meet Sparky!

This adorable little fluffball is Sparky, a 9-year-and-9-month-old Maltese who has just joined the Forgotten Dogs family! And would you LOOK at that fuzzball face?!

Sparky came to us after his owners experienced some medical setbacks and were no longer able to care for him. We're so glad we could be here for this sweet little gentleman as he starts his next chapter.

We suspect Sparky may have Cushing's disease based on some of his symptoms, so we're getting him to the vet right away to figure out what's going on and help him feel his best.

For now, we're getting to know this handsome little guy, making sure he's comfortable, and giving him all the love he deserves.

Sparky isn't available for adoption just yet, but we can't wait to learn more about him and share his journey with you!

Dumpling is looking for a new foster! Could that be you?

After recovering from some pretty nasty injuries, she's ready to unfold her wrapper (her version of spreading her wings) and fly off to her next adventure to finish recovery and get some love.

She's a tiny tot at 37lbs and would especially love a spot that can gradually help her get back to being her full self with patience, love, and lots of chewy treats!

All fosters are provided EVERYTHING they need to feel prepared, from food and vet care, training, and our entire team behind you to help you feel successful. What's the catch? Probably the amount of cuddles she'll demand

🏋️‍♀️ Minerva has been training HARD for her big surgery day.

And by training, we mean sleeping. Lots of sleeping. On the couch. In someone's lap. Upside down. Sideways. Occasionally with her teefs showing.

Honestly, the dedication has been inspiring.

All that hard work paid off because yesterday Minerva had her TPLO surgery, and we're happy to report that everything went beautifully! No complications, no concerns, and our girl is recovering nicely!

Now comes the hard part: several weeks of rest and recovery.

Fortunately, as these photos clearly demonstrate, **Minerva has been preparing for this exact moment her entire life.**

We think she's got this.

BESSIE MADE IT THROUGH SURGERY!!! 🐮❤️🎉

Oh, you guys. What a relief!! Our tiny little nugget had her big surgery yesterday, and **it went well!!**

Her amazing surgical team successfully removed the tissue that was constricting her esophagus and preventing food from reaching her tummy. They also placed a feeding tube that bypasses her esophagus, allowing her to get the nutrition she desperately needs while everything heals.

And today? So far, so good! ❤️

Bessie is still in the hospital recovering. Her pneumonia continues to be a concern, and she needed some additional oxygen support after surgery, but her oxygen levels are improving. She's tolerating her tube feedings, and her doctors are keeping a very close eye on her.

She's quiet and resting, which is exactly what we'd expect after such a big procedure.

And just LOOK at her in her little Bailey Chair!! This special chair helps keep Bessie upright for feeding, and we think she looks pretty darn adorable in it.

We know she's not out of the woods yet, but today we're celebrating a HUGE step forward for this little girl.
