Vivian and Danielle are working together on communication and using her AAC device to share her needs. Watch to the end to hear some really cute fake snores! 🥹

This is what Early Intervention looks like.
And this is the kind of support your Giving Tuesday gift provides.

When you give, you help us reach more families, expand therapy hours, and ensure that children like Vivian never have to wait for the services that help them thrive. 💛 Link in bio to support today.

Giving Tuesday is on December 2nd, but we’re starting the momentum now! 💙

Across Washington, children and adults with Down syndrome face long waitlists and high costs for speech and occupational therapy.

That’s why DSC built our own therapy programs, so families can get the support that they need asap.

You don’t have to wait to make an impact! Donate today at the link in our bio and help us expand access for more families who are ready to start now.

Together, we can ensure that no growth is put on hold.
The waitlist ends here.

We hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloweekend! 🎃

Our Friday Adults Program spent the evening making ghost krispie treats and oreo spiders! 👻 Cooking together is fun and delicious, but it also builds confidence in the kitchen. Many of our adult clients are working toward living on their own, and learning to cook is a big step toward that independence. 💪

‼️🚨We are looking for Advocacy Board members!

From Board Chair Joey Kane:

We are looking for adults with Down syndrome who are 18 years or older and passionate about Advocacy. Our goal is to help make change in our community and advocate for ourselves so that way we can have a great life that we all dream of. We meet once a month either in person or on Teams.

As part of the Advocacy Board, we have hosted an independent living seminar, talked at schools, and even run a podcast. My most favorite thing that I like doing is to travel and go to DS Advocacy conferences. We get to go and advocate for ourselves and have a lot of fun meeting other people with Down Syndrome that come from around the country.

We want more voices to be heard. The application link is below and is closing soon! We are looking forward to seeing your applications come in.

This Family Friday we want to say thank you to the biggest one we’ve got — our Buddy Walk Family💛

This year, people reached out to us to let us know that their teams weren’t just close loved ones, but their entire extended communities. We had teachers, neighbors, dentists, restaurant owners, friends of friends, and so many more.

You all showed up to celebrate eachother and to showcase the importance of inclusion. Thank you for being a part of our family and allowing ALL of us to thrive.
