We wanted to share with you one of our favorite client success stories today!

Roxann knew she could do the job.

After years working at Fred Meyer, she knew the deli inside and out. What she wanted next was the chance to lead.

When others weren't sure she was ready, Roxann never doubted herself. She advocated for her goals, pursued new opportunities, and took a leap into management.

Today, Roxann manages the deli at one of Fred Meyer's highest-volume stores.

It's tempting to make Mainstay the hero of this story. But we're not.

Roxann is.

She chose what she wanted. She took the risk. She earned the job.

Because of supporters like you, people with disabilities have someone in their corner as they build the lives they choose. And when they're ready to lead, we're right behind them. 💙

A Sparkling Congratulations to Mainstay friend and client Michelle! She is celebrating having just received a Service Award in honor of 30 years (30!!!) of meaningful employment with King County’s Dept. of Judicial Administration, most recently in the role of SEP Associate II.

Outside of work Michelle is a competitive cross-country skier with the Skihawks Racing Team! She also won a silver medal in 2013 while competing with Team USA in the Special Olympics in South Korea (I mean come on!) ⛷️

When we talk about dedication and loyalty this is exactly what we mean ✨✨✨

SHARING VIA !
Survey alert for our community members!
✨✨✨
To improve accessibility in the public right-of-way, SDOT is working to update our current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. We need your help identifying where and how we can make Seattle’s public right-of-way more accessible.

Do you experience barriers when trying to access places you need to go, like no curb ramps, difficulty using sidewalks getting to bus stops, or a lack of accessible parking? Do you have priority destinations and locations you'd like SDOT to focus on?

Please take their survey by Tuesday, September 15 to make your voice heard. Use the link in their profile and click "Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan Survey".
