Join SWE PNW’s booth at Tacoma PD’s Kids Health & Safety Fair! On Saturday, August 29th, from 10am to 1pm, we’ll be at the Tacoma Dome with an interactive activity where kids can experience the importance of studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), which can lead to careers in some of the fastest-growing job sectors. This annual event is designed to get kids “school ready on day 1!” There will be a variety of free services and supplies for students to get ready for the upcoming school year. The event is free and open to all families. If you are interested in volunteering at the SWE PNW booth, sign up by August 22nd!

Join SWE PNW as we kick off the new fiscal year, FY27, on Saturday, July 25, from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Cathy Hillenbrand Community Room in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Whether you’re a longtime member or new to the section, this is your opportunity to share ideas, connect with fellow members, and influence the programs and initiatives you’d like to see in the coming year.

During this meeting, we’ll introduce the new SWE PNW Leadership Team and host an interactive roundtable discussion to brainstorm event ideas, professional development opportunities, outreach initiatives, networking activities, and other ways SWE PNW can best support our community. Your voice and perspective will help guide our section’s priorities and programming for the year ahead.

Following the planning session, attendees are invited to continue the conversation at an optional happy hour at Life on Mars, located just a 10-minute walk away.

Come ready to share your ideas, meet fellow members, and help make FY27 our best year yet!

Thank you to everyone who attended our 70th anniversary banquet! We had an amazing turn out this year. 💜

We got to celebrate our history with a photo archive display, get inspired by our awesome speakers - Rae Lutters and Linda Thomas - and share great memories with all who attended!
