SPREADING THE WORD!

Some Alki Families are meeting up at the beach afterschool, this Friday, September 18th across from Pepperdock.

This is one of the joys of Alki being our school, a brief walk to a wonderful hang with our community. Join if you can. No RSVP needed. Bring what you and your family need!

Casual Community Meetups!

Mondays we play pickleball. Tuesdays and Fridays we meet at Whale Tail and let the kids run. Wednesdays we walk.

No cost, no RSVP, no program. Show up, stay as long as you want, leave when you need to.

Each date just needs someone to claim it. “Point person” sounds official, but it means you’re the one who’s there, standing by the play structure, waving people over. Nothing to plan, nothing to bring. You get to be the friendly face.

The PTA set up the calendar, but these belong to all of us. Bring a stroller, bring a neighbor, bring someone new to Alki.

Pick a day you’re already free - signups in our Linktree.

Alki Merch for Sale!

We've received lots of demand for Alki Spirit Wear and we are happy to share the official merch site is up and running!

The site is print on demand and shipped straight to your door. This is the only place the PTA will sell merch. Merch is priced close to cost but a small amount does go to Alki PTA. More items will be added this week so keep checking back if your favorite isn't there yet.

Big thanks to parents Kristina Tamaria and Jennifer Schiess for creating these designs over the past few years.

Note - all new Alki students will receive a classic blue Alki whale tail shirt from school some time this fall at no cost.

When the school asks, we answer. ⚡️

Principal Skeffington let us know our classroom teachers needed an easier way to move lunches from their classrooms to the cafeteria in the new building. The answer: 12 wagons, needed by Tuesday.

We said, "We're on it!" Wagons were delivered and utilized the next morning, in time for lunch.

A new building means adapted systems, and sometimes the fix is simple, but it just has to happen fast. Thank you to every member and donor who makes a next-day "yes" possible. 🐋💙

🙋‍♀️ Love volunteering? Amazing! Jump in and get involved.

💙 Want to support the school and the PTA? That matters, too!

💡 Have ideas or want your voice heard? We want you at the table.
