For 19 days leading up to Juneteenth, we celebrated the impact Black women have had on soccer through player spotlights, stories, and community conversations. As we honored Juneteenth—the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Texas in 1865—we also invite our community to “Put $5 On It” in support of BWPC’s mission to increase representation, access, and opportunity for the next generation.
We appreciate everyone who has already put $5 on it and helped move this work forward.
Swipe through to see the incredible women we celebrated, and if you haven’t yet, join us in helping reach our fundraising goal. 🖤⚽️

“I try to take advice from all of them and apply it to my game. I would say I’m a fast learner, and I like to learn and adapt to things. Whatever my teammates and whatever the coaches tell me, I try to apply it to my game as best as I can to help the team.” Jameese Joseph
