Friends of Waterfront Park

Friends of Waterfront Park 🌊We’re glad to be your friends — literally! We care for, program, and raise support for Seattle’s 20-acre Waterfront Park, keeping it vibrant and welcoming.

We’ll keep you posted on all the ways you can support and enjoy this new space. Friends of Waterfront Park is a 501c3 not for profit responsible for fundraising, stewarding, and programming at Waterfront Park alongside our community – today and into the future. Friends accomplishes this mission by collaborating with individuals, communities, businesses, and institutional partners, all working together towards a renewed place of connection on Seattle's central shoreline.

There's a little magic waiting for you at Pier 58 every Friday. ✨

Meet Fairy Dust Face Paint Seattle in our next vendor spotlight and one of the most joyful additions to Waterfront Park this summer. With high-quality, skin-safe colors, glitter and a whole lot of heart, they're bringing face painting to the waterfront and creating moments families and kiddos won't forget.

🎨 Tell us more about you: "I'm a professional face painter who transforms imagination into art. I use high-quality, skin-safe colors and sparkles to bring joy and a touch of magic to children and families at the Waterfront."

🤝 How are you partnering or have partnered with us at Friends? "I am proud to join the 2026 Waterfront Park Vending Program as a professional face painting vendor. I'll be at Pier 58 every Friday afternoon, adding vibrant colors and creative designs to the Park’s lively atmosphere."

🤩 A moment or detail you love: "I love the moment when a child first looks into the mirror after being painted. Their eyes light up with pure wonder. I’m excited to bring that magic mirror moment to the waterfront, echoing the shimmer of the Bay waves."

🫶 What makes collaborating with Friends unique when in terms of community building? "Friends of Waterfront Park creates a shared space where art, nature, and people intersect. It’s unique because it allows local artists like me to connect directly with diverse families, fostering a sense of joy and belonging through inclusive, creative experiences."

💖 Find Fairy Dust Face Paint under the orange umbrella at Pier 58 every Friday and follow their Instagram profile for the latest designs: https://www.instagram.com/fairydustpaint_seattle/

Our public programs manager, curator of Indigenous programs and q***r artist Jordan Re*****on (Quileute, he/they) reflects on what five years of this beloved festival has meant—and where it’s going next.
