📣Tell us about yourself:
I’m Tiffany, Founder and Chief Cookie Officer of Cookies with Tiffany, a locally owned Seattle bakery creating award-winning cookies with both hometown heart and national appeal. Every cookie is handcrafted in small batches using the highest-quality, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

🍪Is there a small moment, detail, or experience you are excited to bring to Waterfront Park?:
I’m excited to bring the unmistakable smell of freshly baked cookies drifting through the air. I love the moment when someone catches that scent, stops in their tracks, and comes over with a smile. Whether it’s a visitor discovering us for the first time or a local returning for their favorite flavor, a cookie creates an instant sense of comfort, nostalgia, and connection.

🤝What makes collaborating with Friends unique when in terms of community building?:
The shared commitment to creating a welcoming public space that truly belongs to everyone. It’s more than operating a kiosk—it’s becoming part of a larger community of local businesses, artists, neighbors, and visitors who are helping shape a new Seattle tradition. Cookies naturally bring people together, and I’m excited to create small moments of joy and connection that make the waterfront feel warm, inclusive, and distinctly Seattle.

Let us introduce Jacquelyn Van Patten who is a member of our Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC).

Jacquie is a lifelong Seattleite and special education teacher with a passion for fostering connection and creating welcoming spaces that celebrate diversity and disability. She brings lived experience and a background in disability justice to both her professional work and community advocacy.

Jacquie is dedicated to bringing creativity and a dedication to equity to ensure all Seattleites feel a sense of belonging at Waterfront Park.

Meet Stefanie, Director of Seattle Qabila Project, our Spotlight at Waterfront Park partner next Thursday, August 20!

💬Tell us about yourself:
I dance in and direct the Seattle Qabila Project, which is a part of the larger Qabila Dance Company, and we are collectively dedicated to sharing the joy of Arabic folkdances all along the West Coast.

😁How are you partnering with us?:
We are so delighted to be featured in an upcoming Spotlight at Waterfront Park. It will be our first time performing there and we are looking forward to the opportunity to share what we do in such an accessible way.

🎶What makes collaborating with Friends unique in terms of community building?:
You never know who you are going to inspire when you perform, and the chance to share these dances and the music and culture that they are a part of with visitors to Waterfront Park is such a special opportunity.

💕What’s the best way for our community to support your work?:

Gina is a 19 year art vendor at Pike Place Market and was on the stakeholder committee for the waterfront development project. She is a passionate advocate of accessibility in public spaces like Waterfront Park.

Introducing our Spotlight at Waterfront Park artists and partners for the month of August.🎶

This Thursday, Aug 13 Seattle Jazz Fellowship will be at Pier 58 from 6-8 p.m with the Seattle Jazz Fellowship House Band.

Next Thursday, Aug 20 stop by the Salish Steps from 6-8 p.m. for a SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region dance performance by Qabila Dance Company.

Thursday, Aug 27 catch 206 Zulu at Pier 58 from 6-8 p.m. hosting the preliminary rounds of the 15th annual Beat Masters Competition.
