It has been quite awhile since we have posted anything. COVID-19 has had a big impact on our little charity over the last year and a half. We've had limited chances to get out and talk to people, fundraising has been difficult, and our annual celebration and fundraising event was cancelled last year.

I am sorry to say that in an abundance of caution we are going to hold off on the celebration for another year. On August 10th we will be posting a short virtual fundraiser with the hope of generating some of the income we have in the past when you have all generously helped us continue to achieve our goals.

This year we have a goal to raise enough money to give a $3000 scholarship for a deserving student for the 22-23 school year. Please keep your eye out for us to post in about 8 days with information on how to donate for our virtual fundraiser, or feel free to click the donate button today and get a jump start.

2020 has been a hard year for many of us. Felomena’s Grace was also hit hard as we were unable to host our annual fundraiser which is our primary source of funds.

Regardless of how much we raised, we still had the opportunity to help with one of our scholarships this year. Our goal remains to continue supporting children in fulfilling their dreams even after the loss of a parent.

As this year comes to a close, please consider a donation to Felomena’s Grace so that we can continue our mission supporting children who have had a parent die. If you can give, please do.

Felomena’s Grace hosts an annual celebration on August 10th every year in honor of the beautiful woman who is the namesake of this charity. Our Mission is to raise money in a fund in perpetuity to help some of the approximately 10,000,000 children currently living in the US that have had the tragic loss of a parent.

Over the years, we have received generous donations and support from you all and have always enjoyed celebrating with you on August 10th.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we will be canceling our annual BBQ to keep our family, friends, and loved ones safe. This BBQ is the only fundraiser we do all year and without it, we will be extremely limited in the amount we are able to help with Childrens’ education. We understand with the current situation we are in, times are tough and money can be tight, but we would be extremely grateful to continue to receive your financial support.

Tonight we get to go to the "Celebrate!" Event with the Renton Regional Community Foundation to celebrate all the good things our collective organizations have done.

After tonight, we start to put together this year's scholarship listings. We are substantially increasing this year's scholarship amount thanks to all of your generous donations!!

This weekend we had our annual fundraiser and it was a big success! Your generosity resulted in $782 being donated at the door, and a total of ~$2,000 was donated overall.

The generosity of The Melrose Grill gave us some amazing door prizes. Eric Stromski & Liam Frederick won the prizes and will each get to have a fabulous dinner thanks to the generosity of The Melrose Grill.

It is official! Scholarship awards were given at a small ceremony yesterday and Felomena’s Grace Fund is proud to share that the first recipient of our Charity’s scholarship is Cheyenne!! For all of you who have contributed to the Fund, you helped make this happen and Cheyenne has sent me a message to share with you:

“Hi! My name is Cheyenne and I am the reciever of the Felomena Grace Scholarship Award. This scholarship means a lot to me as it gives me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and make my mother proud. I lost my mother to cancer my freshman year in high school at Hazen. Currently, I plan on attending Bellevue College, majoring in Interior Design. Overall, I recieved approximately $3,000 in outside scholarships, including this one. I am incredibly honored to be the first person to win this scholarship. Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it so much.

It is official! We have our first scholarship recipient from our Fund. Through RRCF Felomena's Grace will help one deserving student pay for college this year. Again, our mission is to assist kids who have lost a parent in achieving their dreams. There will be more to come about our recipient when the award ceremony takes place on June 11th.
