Washington Peace Team The Washington Peace Team was founded in January 2011.

The Washington Peace Team provides a nonviolent, impartial presence in situations with potential for conflict and creates space for people to resolve their own conflicts nonviolently. Rosy Betz- Zall gathered a group of people who wanted to undertake nonviolence trainings with the goal of being able to step in and de-escalate situations where conflicts were getting hot and might be moving toward v

iolence. The WPT has provided peacemaking presences at marches and rallies since the fall of 2011 and has assisted food bank users during the long wait for assistance.
