You're invited to the 4th Annual EDGE Outdoors Summer Picnic! 🎉

Come spend the day with our incredible community on and off the slopes! Eat, play, laugh, relax, meet new EDGE folks, reconnect with old friends, and learn about upcoming EDGE Outdoors adventures (all while enjoying great food, of course!). Plus, help us celebrate our founder Annette's birthday while you're here! 🎉🎂

While we're pressing pause this season, we're committed to bringing it back when conditions allow for the best experience.

🏔️✨ HISTORY. PROGRESSION. REPRESENTATION. ✨🏔️

Earlier this season, we gathered at Heavenly for another incredible EDGE Advanced Instructor Training Program weekend, and we're still feeling the impact.

A huge thank you to our partners and for helping create opportunities that continue to change the face of snowsports.

EDGE Outdoors is proud to have founded the nation's first Advanced Instructor Training Program specifically designed to support Women of Color pursuing leadership and instructor pathways in the snowsports industry. What started as a vision has become a growing movement, creating access, mentorship, and professional development for the next generation of leaders on snow.

Today, we're especially celebrating for earning her PSIA Level II certification! 🎉👏 Your dedication, growth, and commitment to the craft inspire us all. We can't wait to see how you continue to lead and uplift others in this industry.

This is what progress looks like:

This April, we came together once again for Crush the Slopes alongside our longtime community partners at , with support from Big SNOW American Dream . ✨️♥️✨️

What started as a shared vision around access and representation has continued to grow into years of partnership, community, and creating meaningful experiences on snow for Black and Brown communities.

From first turns and wipeouts to laughter on the lifts and moments of breakthrough, this season’s Crush the Slopes reminded us why this work matters so deeply. Snow sports have the power to build confidence, connection, healing, joy, and belonging.

We’re grateful to continue building spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and reflected in mountain culture, and thankful to partners like Big SNOW who help make these experiences possible and accessible for our communities.

A special thank you to .y for helping coordinate and hold down so much of the East Coast logistics and community care that helped make this experience possible, and to all of the instructors and volunteers, including those who traveled from the West Coast to pour into this work and our participants. 🤍

From camp days to clinics, from preparation to your persistence, this moment has been years in the making. We are beyond proud to celebrate you for achieving your Level II certification.

Your journey reflects the discipline and intention that defines true leadership on and off the mountain. This is what consistency, courage, and community look like.

It’s been powerful to be a part of your journey from the EDGE Advanced Instructor Training Program at to your continued commitment to clinics, and showing up for Level II prep at Pass. Your dedication to growth has been evident every step of the way.

Happy International Women’s Day.

At EDGE Outdoors, we are deeply grateful for the community we’ve built together.

From our Learn to Ski & Ride program to intro to backcountry experiences to our Advanced Instructor Training Program and Athlete Development Program, we are committed to creating ethical pathways for women to grow, lead, and thrive in mountain spaces.

A core part of our work is educating our community on how to access opportunities within the snowsports industry, including how to obtain PSIA AASI certifications from Level 1 through Level 3 and specialty credentials, often at no cost through working in mountain spaces.

Because access and transparency matter. And we believe no woman, especially women of color, should face unnecessary financial barriers to leadership in snowsports.

Today, we celebrate the women who are learning, leading, and reshaping the future of the mountains.

And we remain committed to building pathways that move women from their very first day on snow to leadership across the snowsports industry.

⛷️ Cascade Mentorship Lab is a collaborative backcountry touring mentorship program intended to provide backcountry riders an opportunity for practical application and progression of advanced touring skills in the backcountry, with a human component of mentorship and support from experienced guides and athletes. Like an actual lab, we will use “hands on” time together with two planning sessions and two full days of touring throughout the season: one mid-winter tour at Snoqualmie Pass and one spring tour in the North Cascades.

Mentorship and guiding will be provided by AMGA Ski Guide Trevor Kostanich and Arc’tery Ski Athlete Krystin Norman.
