Exciting details about this long-vacant space on Beacon Hill preparing to open its doors!

Gohan is a new Japanese restaurant coming to Beacon Hill from the owner of Humble Pie in the International District. He's designing and building this one himself too. Humble Pie let him rep the Italian side of his family; Gohan is his shot at repping the Japanese side. The food leans local: foraged kelp and mushrooms, local shellfish and fish, vegetables off the roof. It's 21-and-over, cocktail and sake program front and center, closest thing to an izakaya. Same values as Humble Pie — community, environment, and the business itself all have to work — just a bigger room and a later crowd. Opening in October.

Hey Beacon Hill, how about some froyo! Sweet Blu opened its doors in August and serves a range of toppings for their delicious frozen yogurt flavors of the day, plus sweet treats on a rotating menu (cheese cakes, ice cream bars, cookies, Reeses pieces :)

Stop by the shop at 3217 Beacon Ave S. anytime Thursday or Friday 12 to 8 pm and Sundays 12 to 5pm. Let’s welcome owner Debbie to the neighborhood!
