Year 2020 started on a great note for FA3.

We are pleased to announce that we have won two distinguished grants for this year the details of which are below -

Robert Chinn Foundation Grant: FA3 was one of 35 of 100 applicants that received a grant from the Robert Chinn Foundation in 2019. The grant, a collaboration between FA3 and the Jade Guild Chinese Women’s Club, received $7,000 to produce three programs on the arts and culture of China. The programs, which will be held in 2020, will begin with a presentation on Chinese Opera, which will be held at the newly remodeled Seattle Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park on April .

Civic Partner Grant: FA3 was awarded a three-year (2020-2022) grant from the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture in 2019. The award was based on public impact, organizational soundness and the merit of the programs to be delivered. The focus of the FA3 programs will be to deliver interactive Asian arts and culture programs to senior centers and retirement communities within the greater Seattle area.

The FA3 program, The Cosmic Dance of Nataraja was a spectacular program. Held in Bellevue's Crossroads Community Center, there was standing room only for the crowd waiting to see the students from several outstanding dance schools from the region - the
Mohini Dance School, Nrityalaya Dance School, Angakala Kathak Academy, Urvashi School of Dance.

Beautiful costumes, stunningly choreographed dances and visually rich presentations were the highlight of the program, organized by Yamini Gourishankar with the assistance of Shelly Krishnamurty
