The Ignition Northwest town hall is days away.

Join the board on September 27th at 6pm to 8pm in Youngstown auditorium. We'll be covering a variety of topics including Critical post-event survey results, the upcoming elections to the Ignition NW board, SeaCompression plans presented by the Producer CommonDeer, and an overview of what the board has been up to this past year. There will be snacks and an option to join remotely.

Do you have a question for the board? Reply to the distribution email address (mailto:[email protected]) with that question, or ask it during the open comment and questions period during the event.

We would love volunteer help for set up from 5:30-6pm, and clean up from 8:00-8:30pm.

Ignition Northwest Board is looking for an enthusiastic radical participant!

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, we need a new bff to come count our gold with us! Our team is one short after Tuck needed to step down for personal reasons earlier this year, leaving one lucky applicant the opportunity to express one of the best of the 10 principals: radical participation. Come hash out all the important cogs of how to make INW tick for community events. We have lively monthly online hangout where you'd get to be involved in discussing and deciding important details, and you might even get to join in time to participate in the behind-the-curtains magic for this year's SeaCompression, coming up on Oct 17.

Some skills we are looking for:

- High touch/High responsive rate to action items
- Some familiarity with how non-profit finances work
- Comfortability with spreadsheets with numbers/formulae
- Interest in doing Comms -> created posts and newsletters to communicate with the community

Not all of the above listed skills are necessary, but at least one would be preferable.

We don’t know who you are. We don’t know what you want. But what you do have are a very particular set of skills (preferably in accounting), skills you have acquired over a decent amount of time.

Skills that make you an asset for boards like us. If you reach out to the board now, that’ll be the end of it, we will simply consider you. But if you don’t, we will look for you, we will find you, and we will appoint you to the board.

Just a reminder: Nominations for INW Conduct Committee are Still Open!

The Ignition Northwest Conduct Committee is a resource INW members can use to report incidents they experience that violate the INW Code of Conduct.

The Conduct Committee collaborates with reporters and utilizes restorative practices to address behavior that harms community members.

In 2026, we’re excited to welcome a new set of community committee members and develop our long term plan for community engagement.

The Conduct Committee meets twice a month on Tuesday evenings for an hour. The Conduct Committee's charter and process are available here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OjAKe0cKkIzD9cnNon5zS-cVc7Uy-PEF/view?usp=drivesdk

Members of the Conduct Committee review conduct reports submitted to INW, interview reporters and reportees, contribute to discussions, and collaborate with committee leadership on defining process and procedures.

Nominations will close on June 30th at 11:59PM.
