Teen Peer Advocate Program

Teen Peer Advocate Program TPAP cultivates leadership and educates AAPI teens about healthy relationships, how to address dating violence and sexual assault, and r**e prevention.

TPAP promotes peer advocacy through weekly educational support groups at high schools in Bellevue, WA. We also hold a weekly leadership and advocacy group, and participants learn by giving peer outreach and education presentations. By developing youth leaders known as TPAP Advocates, ACRS is building a youth-driven community that accesses and utilizes AAPI cultural strengths and core values like i

nterdependence and group harmony to prevent dating violence. TPAP Advocates receive 40 hours of training on oppression, gender roles, dating violence, sexual assault, r**e prevention and healthy relationships. Through training and advocacy, they develop leadership skills and healthy cultural identities.
