It wasn't in the plan but things worked out that CBTU and Puget Sound Chapter CBTU in particular were represented at the MLK Labor Labor Day Event on Monday. Kevin Allen and Herzmark were out there. There were lots of Affiliate Unions, Constituency Groups, Organizations, and Elected Officials out there. Here's some of the Images from the day.

A Productive Day in Vegas on Saturday with our Puget Sound Chapter CBTU being well represented at our Region X Conference. Our Chapter President Cherika Carter led workshop on AI and Voter Engagement and Chaired the Election Committee as new Region X Officers were elected.
Paulette Thompson and Kevin Allen served on that committee. While our Chapter doesn't hold Elected Positions with the CBTU Region X Board, we still have Impact within the Region.💯😆👍🏿💪🏿✊🏿

On Sunday afternoon, after Church and before our Church of Christ Holiness USA National Brotherhood Board Meeting, I had the opportunity to participate in a Phone Banking Session with where we reached out to Young Black Men ages 18-29 to "Check On Them" and also learn about their level of Civil Engagement.
In a 30 minute Session over 500 calls were made. I personally spoke with young brothers in Florida and Illinois. It was Impactful to me!💯💪🏿👍🏿✊🏿
I've been participating in the weekly Sunday calls when I can for several months now and I encourage others to do so. It's awesome to see and hear about things happening locally in places all over the country and know that we're "Out There"

On Monday, Kevin Allen was able to stop by the Benu Africatown Community Land Trust BENU Home and drop off collected items and funds. This is part of our National CBTU Men's Committee Ongoing Initiative to Support Shelters servicing our Unhoused Men. We have been working on this since early 2025 and will Continue to do so. We're Proud to be able to do our "little part" and Encourage our Union Siblings and Friends to join and Support this effort.
Thank You WFSE Local 843, King County CLUW, and Bethany Church of Christ Holiness USA for your Support!👏🏾👏🏾💯👍🏿💪🏿✊🏿💯👏🏾👏🏾
