Rainier Valley Greenways supports safe healthy streets for all people who choose or need to walk, drive, use a wheelchair or ride a bicycle from Rainier Beach to the Central District. www.SeattleGreenways.org
RV Greenways meetings are held monthly, every 3rd Tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm at Bike Works, 3715 S.

Starting 7 PM tomorrow (11/24) and ending 7 AM Monday (11/29), 3 miles of Lake Washington Blvd will be closed to through pass through traffic and opened to walking, rolling, and biking. What I’ve witnessed on Lake Washington Boulevard is that when such spaces are opened to people of all ages and abilities, they truly transform into a spaces for people. Children, families, and elders fill these spaces as they go for strolls, picnic on the grass, or go swimming in the lake. These spaces are truly valued and they are something that all communities in Seattle should be able to access.

The city will re-open the Lake WA Boulevard from Seward Park to Mt Baker for weekends this summer! We are excited that the city will be opening this beloved park street for people to escape the heat this summer, but this announcement falls short of what the public wants.
