In 2014 we moved the faire to Museum of Pop Culture {formerly EMP Museum} and doubled our capacity in 2015 with over 100 makers! The 2013 Seattle Mini Maker Faire showcased over 60 maker exhibits, including six Young Maker groups, fully immersive virtual reality gaming, a

nd dozens of open-source inventions. The 2012 Seattle Mini Maker Faire was a huge success, with 50 maker exhibits and 20 presentations. Maker Faire brings together families and individuals to celebrate the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset and showcase all kinds of incredible projects. At Maker Faire, you'll find arts and crafts, science and engineering, robots and chickens, food and music, fire and water but what makes this event special is that all these interesting projects and smart, creative people belong together.

2019 Seattle Mini Maker Faire

As many of you may be wondering, what is going on with this year's Seattle Mini Maker Faire?

The Museum of Pop Culture and the Pacific Science Center are currently exploring a Maker Faire partnership that would see both institutions co-producing the event this year (and possibly beyond it). As you can imagine, planning a partnership for an event this size can be somewhat of a heavy lift—logistics, budgets, marketing etc.—but progress is being made.

We do have potential dates in mind and once everything is in place and ready to go, you will all be the first to know.
