Our Story
South End Boxing Club offers free boxing training for youth and adults at the Rainier Beach Community Center. Practices are focused on boxing skill-development and overall fitness. Participants are also guided to take the lessons they learn in “The Ring” into the rest of their lives with a focus on emotional regulation, self-discipline, and resilience.
Founded in 2013 as Your House Boxing and Community Club, we updated our name in 2019 to better reflect our connection to Seattle’s South End community. Our boxers take pride in this community connection and the program fosters positive relationships among participants and inter-generationally, with youth boxers acting as paid assistants in the adult boxing classes.
