Established in fall 2018, Seattle University’s College of Education launched an innovative new campus resource focused on high-quality holistic learning and leadership development aligned to the univer

sity’s mission for community and justice. Under the direction of Dr. Colette Taylor, the Center for Social Transformation and Leadership (CSTL) addresses the growing need to build the capacity of today’s leaders to propose effective solutions and take actions to implement positive, social change. Center activities drive social impact by fostering peer and professional exchange of ideas across multiple sectors, through collaborative work and shared learning experiences. CSTL engages in direct-service programming and social justice programs, activities and research in partnership with a diverse network of community organizations in Seattle and beyond. Seattle University faculty, students, and staff have opportunities to contribute to these collaborative efforts with our community partners to impact social transformation.
