Metro Seattle Gamers is having an open house this Friday, 10am-10pm. We have been running for more than 40 years and currently have 60-70 members. We are one of the very few game clubs world wide that actually rent our own space. Having our own space means that it is a great place to play games that are longer, might need to be stored set up between sessions (we have 70+ storage racks), that you don't want to play in a game store or cafe (many role-playing groups feel that way), or 'cos your apartment is too small.
We have a library of around 300 games, but I will have at least the following:
* Terraforming Mars
* Wingspan
* Silverton
* Powergrid
* Indonesia
We also play wargames, hex and counter, card-driven designs (eg Twilight Struggle), and more modern multi-player designs such as Here I Stand
If there is something you are dying to get on the table let me know!
We are in the office space of the Nickerson Marina, literally on top of the Ship Canal, near the Ballard Bridge. The 31 & 32 buses stop at the top of the lane, or you can bike along the ship canal, and we have a parking lot. It is a little hard to find the first time you visit, so check out the directions on our website:
