Another beautiful week at AYSA Village!

Week after week, our young players continue to show up, work hard, learn, build friendships, and grow together. What we’re building is bigger than soccer—we’re building confidence, discipline, leadership, and a strong Village around our children.

A huge THANK YOU to our parents. Your commitment makes this program possible. Thank you for bringing the kids, supporting them from the sidelines, and trusting AYSA Village with their development. We see your hard work and appreciate you. 💙

Special shoutout to Coach Umar, Coach Ahmed, and the entire AYSA team for continuing to pour your time and energy into our youth. Fifteen weeks takes commitment, and you continue showing up for the Village.

What an unforgettable week for AYSA Village! 💙⚽

Alhamdulillah.

This week reminded us that when a community comes together, amazing things can happen.

We had the incredible honor of being recognized by the RAVE Foundation and Seattle Reign FC as the RISE Community Partner of the Match, where our youth and families experienced a day they will never forget.

Just a few days later, the RAVE Foundation welcomed our team back to Lumen Field as their guests for the Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers match. Our staff has worked tirelessly all year to serve our youth and families, and this opportunity gave us a chance to celebrate together and recharge for the work ahead.

To the RAVE Foundation, thank you for believing in AYSA Village from the very beginning. You were the first organization to invest in our vision, and your continued support has opened doors that once felt impossible. Your leadership and commitment to youth development inspire us every day.

To Seattle Reign FC and the Seattle Sounders, thank you for welcoming our Village with such kindness and hospitality. These experiences created lifelong memories for our youth, parents, and staff.

Now, our focus turns to Seattle Somali Week 2026. We are just weeks away from bringing our community together for one of the biggest celebrations of sports, culture, family, and community in Seattle.

🌟 A Historic Moment for AYSA Village 🌟

Alhamdulillah.

Tomorrow will be a day our Village will never forget.

We are honored to announce that AYSA Village (African Youth Sports Academy) has been selected by the RAVE Foundation and Seattle Reign FC as the RISE Community Partner of the Match.

This recognition is not just for an organization—it is for every child, every parent, and every family that calls AYSA Village home.

The RAVE Foundation was the first organization to believe in our vision. They awarded AYSA Village our very first grant, opening doors that allowed us to grow and continue serving our youth. They believed in us before many others did, and for that, we will always be grateful.

Because of that relationship, tomorrow Seattle Reign FC will recognize AYSA Village on the field before kickoff, celebrating the impact our Village is making through the beautiful game.

Today also brought another special moment.

A wonderful journalist, Bella, whom I met through a RAVE Foundation event, spent nearly two hours with our Village and our parents. Before she left, she told me something I’ll never forget:

“The Village felt warm and full of love.”

Those words touched my heart because that’s exactly who we strive to be. At AYSA Village, everyone is welcomed with kindness, respect, and an open heart. Our faith teaches us to honor every guest, and I’m thankful she experienced that.

Tomorrow, my brother and co-founder, Ahmed, and I will proudly represent our Village. We carry with us the dreams of every child who has ever worn an AYSA jersey and every parent who has trusted us with their children.

To the RAVE Foundation and Seattle Reign FC—thank you for believing in AYSA Village and for recognizing the power of community, opportunity, and youth development.

💚⚽ ALHAMDULILLAH! WEEK 10 • DAY 20 COMPLETE! ⚽💚

Another incredible day at AYSA Village Soccer Program has come to an end, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.

Week after week, we continue to watch our youth grow—not only as soccer players but as confident, respectful, and caring young leaders. The love they have developed for the beautiful game and for one another is something truly special.

Over the past several weeks, we have seen children form new friendships, parents build stronger relationships, and our community become more connected than ever before. This is exactly what AYSA Village was created to do.

To our amazing parents, thank you for believing in our vision and trusting us with your children.

To our dedicated coaches and volunteers, thank you for your time, patience, and commitment. Your leadership continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of our youth.

A special thank you to the RAVE Foundation for believing in AYSA Village and investing in our mission. Your support continues to create meaningful opportunities and unforgettable experiences for our children and families.

Welcome to Seattle, Big Brother Maxamed Cali Nuur

Today, AYSA Village had the honor of sharing lunch with the Mayor of SeaTac and our respected big brother, Maxamed Cali Nuur, General Manager of the Mogadishu Port Authority, to welcome him to our beautiful city of Seattle.

Big brother Maxamed, it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for taking the time to sit with us, share your wisdom, and learn about the work AYSA Village is doing for our youth and families. Your leadership and commitment to serving Somalia are inspiring, and we pray that Allah continues to bless you with strength, wisdom, and success.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Mayor of SeaTac for joining us and for supporting opportunities that bring our communities together.

At AYSA Village, we believe every connection matters. By building relationships with leaders who care about our people, we can create more opportunities for the next generation and continue strengthening the bridge between Seattle and Somalia.
