The Residency

The Residency The Residency is a collaboration between Arts Corps, MoPOP and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The program engages up to 40 emerging youth hip-hop artists.

The Residency is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization that empowers youth artists to develop business and creative skills to pursue a career in the music industry.

Join us at Source of Labor Studios in Seattle, WA. These free Studio Sessions provide access for artists to record their projects and have them professionally mixed by an engineer. Artists receive a designated amount of studio time based on their project needs.

Are you a Residency Performing Artists or a Residency Alumni? This opportunity is designed for you!

Program Schedule:
Wednesday–Friday: 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Saturdays: 11:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Start Date: April 29th
End date: May 27th

We’re prioritizing artists who already have projects prepared for completion or at least a clear plan in place. All cohorts are welcome to apply.

In addition to artist applications, there will ALSO be a separate opportunity for a studio intern to work alongside the professional engineer. Both artists and interns will be selected through the application process.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the FREE program series. 

- The program is designed to educate, empower, and equip you with foundational financial literacy, money management, and entrepreneurship skills.
