Meet Isha🐶
A Resilient, Gentle Soul Seeking Her True Forever Home 🐾
Compatibility: Great with dogs, cats, and calm children.
Isha’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Rescued from severe neglect as a puppy, Isha knew only fear until a dedicated rescuer stepped in and gave her a second chance.
For the past four years, Isha lived in a loving home where she blossomed into a curious, gentle companion. Tragically, due to unexpected financial hardship, her family could no longer keep her through no fault of her own. Now at 5 years old, Isha is looking for a committed, permanent home that will cherish her for the rest of her life.
She is scared of loud noises and new people, but is much quicker to open up than when we first rescued her, especially if given the proper space. If she won’t make eye contact, that means she is still unsure of you. High value treats (fresh, cooked chicken) given in a safe space like the home are a good way to gain trust and also taking walks on quiet trails.
She loves other dogs and gets along well with cats. She rarely barks or whines and is fully housebroken. She is the best cuddler. The commands she knows are sit, lay, wait, and bed. Isha is loving, loyal, peaceful, and playful when given the space to open up at her own pace!

URGENT: Foster Home Needed in SoCal!🐾

This is a 5 year old girl who is timid but super gentle FMD. She gets along great with both cats and dogs! If you can foster/adopt or would like to learn more, please PM us directly!

Yeonew. 4Y. Male. 20lb.
He is currently being fostered in Fremont,CA!

1. Yeonew will be best if he is the only dog in the house but he will be ok with dogs of his size (about 20 lbs) or smaller. Not cat tested.
2. He is 100% outdoor potty.
3. Yeonew is a nice dog. He is very patient and understanding. He does not demand or destroy things. He loves, loves walking and running, especially loves a long walk.
4. He is quite a picky eater. He likes – any kind of meat (beef, pork, chicken), fish, cheese, butter, egg yolk, lactose free milk, chicken jerky for dogs, dog chews.
5. He is mostly quiet but he will bark if neighbor’s gardener creates loud noises with lawn mower or if he senses strangers walking outside of our house.

Happy Tail🐾 Nova(formerly Brûlée)

We adopted Nova the Taiwanese mountain dog two years ago, and now we can’t imagine our life without her! When Nova arrived to San Francisco from Taiwan, she adapted and bonded with us quickly. At first, I was prepared to spend numerous hours training her, having owned two dogs before in my life. However, i was surprised to find that Nova was already quite well behaved! She got along with every new person, dog and cat that she met. She was house trained, showed no signs of aggression, and did not pull on the leash while outside. After having her for two years, I can say we did not have to discipline her much at all.. she does not chew things up when unsupervised, and has only stolen food from the table once (even though she is quite food motivated)!! We could not have asked for a better furry companion in our life. She is smart, easy to train, loyal, cute, and has an amazing personality. These days, Nova has lots of dog friends and humans who love her, and has a relaxing home to live in. Fortunately, her sister (also adopted from LHF) lives in the bay area and the two siblings get to reunite once a year to wrestle and destroy toys together. Thank you LHF for the hard work you put in to allow Nova to be part of our lives and for properly training her during her puppy months.

- INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION -

🐕 Olio is 8 months old and currently weighs 42 lbs. He is the definition of a loyal, sweet, and goofy big boy.
Olio is already potty trained. He uses pads indoors, and for pooping, he is 100% outdoors. Recently, he has shown a clear preference for doing all his business outside. He has a great balance of energy, he can be active or calm, making him a perfect fit for either a house with a backyard or an apartment. He also gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats.
Please keep in mind that Olio is expected to be 52+ lbs when fully grown. If you are currently renting, please ensure your home does not have weight restrictions that would exclude him.

Olio is an international rescues all the way from South Korea. While “international adoption” might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step!

✈️ The Journey Home
Once your application is approved, the final step of their journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking them up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include:
．East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH.
．West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX.

Happy Tail🐾Miko(formerly Selina)fmd

We fell in love with Miko as soon as we saw her photo on the LHF website- we knew she was the dog for us! We were first-time dog owners, so we weren’t sure what to expect with the adoption process, especially an international adoption. However, Anita made everything so easy and smooth, she was super responsive to all of our messages during the entire process and checked in on us frequently after Miko arrived in our home. (Anita even sent us photos of Miko as a puppy when we requested them, which we were absolutely overjoyed to see). She was also extremely transparent about Miko’s behavioral issues and potential health concerns- we could tell that she truly cares about finding the right home for the dogs, not just any home. As expected, Miko was very anxious and frightened when we first got her (her whole world had been turned upside down). We were careful to heed Anita’s advice to be patient and ultra cautious in the beginning, and we were prepared to do the work. But after just a few weeks, Miko blossomed into the adorable, affectionate, and silly love bug that she is today. It brings us the greatest joy to see her running at full speed at the dog park, gobbling up her favorite treats, and sleeping in the most bizarre positions. We are so happy that LHF brought her into our lives, we honestly can’t imagine our home without her now.

Jamie doesn’t have a preference for any particular age group. She can get along well with elderly people, men, women, and children. However, when meeting someone for the first time, it’s best not to approach her with big movements or too much enthusiasm, as she may shy away from overly eager touching. It’s recommended to approach her calmly—slowly sit down or crouch near her first, then gently start by petting her head before moving on to her body. Once she becomes familiar with you, she will happily wag her tail, rub against your legs and body, and shower you with affection every day.
