and we are a go! up now on our website: the winter 2021 issue of the Capillaries Journal!!

again, we’d like to thank all the artists and writers who contributed to the journal this quarter as well as our hardworking team members☺️

02/10/2021

Thank you to everyone who submitted to our winter issue, we can’t wait to put it together and share it with you!

We also have some news exciting news: Capillaries: The Journal of Narrative Medicine is now Capillaries Journal of Medical Humanities!

Narrative medicine is the field that inspired the creation of the journal and its goal of promoting healing through writing and art, but we feel that “medical humanities” more accurately encompasses the wide variety of works that we publish, ranging from deeply personal stories to essays that reflect on broader issues at a national or even global scale.

Although our name has changed, our aim has not, and Capillaries will continue to publish works of prose and poetry from members of the UW and greater Washington community using the same submission guidelines we have always used. Thank you all for your continued support!
