We have since gotten involved in the Candelarians Educational Initiative Program ( formerly, AGL Educational Initiative Program) that sent 40 students in the elementary and high school from the less fortunate families in our community in 2010, 80 in 2011, 120 in 2012, and 160 in 2013. At the recognition of the IRS of the CQI tax-exempt status, a resolution was passed by the board of directors to support the three (3) ongoing projects in Candelaria, namely, the Candelarians Educational Initiative Program (CEIP), the AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE (AFE), and the Php500/Family Financial Assistance Program at the Candelaria Municipal Hospital. The most recent project as an adjunct to the AFE is a 12-member team, YAMFLOC (Yolanda A. Morton Future Leaders Of Candelaria), comprised of the top two honor third year high school students in the community from the eight secondary institutions in Candelaria, Quezon, Philippines. Our purpose in general is to help improve life in our hometown through education and social upliftment in a spirit of bayanihan. This is one reason we bound ourselves together so that our collective strength will grow into a viable force that can do something worthwhile for our beloved Candelaria.
If you are not yet a member, we urged you to join and be counted, for there is strength in number.
