“I couldn’t say enough good things about this place. I’m super, super thankful.” - Jennifer, Dorothy Day House resident

After a mental health crisis, Jennifer found herself with nowhere to turn and began living in her car.

She connected with CCS’ Bunny Wilburn Shelter and, from there, transitioned to a home at Dorothy Day House, a CCS program that provides permanent housing to 41 adult women in Seattle.

At Dorothy Day House, women like Jennifer find a supportive community where they can put down roots and build a sense of home.

A day of golf, community, and generosity made a meaningful difference for families experiencing homelessness.

The Kent Knights of Columbus Assembly #2960 recently hosted its 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Auburn Golf Course, raising $10,000 for local charitable organizations, including Catholic Community Services’ Sacred Heart Shelter in Kent.

We’re grateful to the Knights of Columbus, sponsors, benefactors, golfers and volunteers who made this event possible. Your generosity helps Sacred Heart Shelter provide temporary housing, meals, case management, and other essential support to families as they work toward stable, permanent housing.

Thank you for helping create a stronger, more caring community for families in need. ❤️

PREPARES of WW distributed over 20,000 packages of diapers in 2025, and we're on track to beat that in 2026. As volunteers walk the journey with families, they see how support with essential items allows parents to focus on what's really important- the health and safety of their babies.
The National Diaper Bank Network says that "diaper need is lonely." When a parent reaches out to PREPARES for diapers, they receive so much more!
