Where: Dunn Gardens, 13533 Northshire Road NW

From dunngardens.org:
Experience an unforgettable summer afternoon where art, music, and community come together at Dunn Gardens.
More than 50 vibrant botanical-inspired quilts created by the Pacific Northwest African American Quilters will once again transform the Gardens into a spectacular open-air gallery. Inspired by the beauty of Dunn Gardens, each handcrafted quilt celebrates creativity, storytelling, and the enduring legacy of African American quilting traditions.
New this year, ceramic artist and Dunn Gardens friend Alexander Kamola will showcase striking ceramic works tucked along garden paths. Each one-of-a-kind piece will be available for purchase through an online auction, with all proceeds benefiting Dunn Gardens. As a special addition, the highest bidder will receive an exclusive ceramic piece created especially for this event.
Bring a picnic or purchase an all-American lunch of barbecued hot dogs, chips, and a beverage for just $10. Then settle in for an afternoon of live music featuring two exceptional bands. The festivities begin with the lively rhythms and smooth harmonies of a Caribbean steel drum band, followed by the mellow, garden-friendly sounds of smooth jazz.
Stroll among summer blooms, enjoy docent-led mini-tours, discover art throughout the landscape, and take in sweeping views of Puget Sound while gathering with friends and family in one of Seattle’s most beautiful garden settings.
Join us for this joyful celebration of art, culture, and nature—and help preserve and honor the rich tradition of African American quilting for generations to come.
