NOTR: Northwest Organization for Theatrical Roleplay

NOTR: Northwest Organization for Theatrical Roleplay NoTR is currently a very small NPO that provides financial support to the Emerald Chronicles LARPs.

With an income based soley on donations from the players themselves, NoTR provides a warm, indoor playing space to 4 LARP games every Saturday night. We hope to be able to expand the services offered to our current LARPs as well as expanding our support to include more LARP events in the Seattle area in the future.

Hello NOTR Board Members,
The Bylaws stipulate that the Annual Board Meeting for NOTR is to be held on the third Saturday of March each year. As it is now the end of February, only three weekends away from said date, and there should be a good thirty days for people to prepare for the event, we are proposing holding the meeting on the first Saturday of April, April 7th. We will be talking about finances from the time of our last meeting late last year up to present, and what changes, if any, need to be made to make ends meet. There may be other topics on the table, but these are yet to be decided, so we shall keep you all updated as that goes.
Thank You For Your Time and Support,
Justin K Gallion
V.P.

Okay! I have been heckled enough that I am attempting to use Patreon.

This should be an easy way to set up an automatic subscription if you prefer to donate that way.

Unfortunately Paypal charges a monthly fee for the same sort of service :(

Finances are available at the below link.

You'll notice for some of this, PayPal takes a portion out if you follow the link from the EC Forums. That's because its set up as a business. While it may not seem like an awful lot, the 3-5% that PayPal takes out for Businesses can pile up, so if you have the option, Friends and Family doesn't take out that percentage.

That said -- PayPal is the most direct way to donate, removing the hand-off from (for example) Player, to Storyteller, to NOTR Member, to Treasurer, to Bank. If you can provide a note on which Sphere you attend, just for absolute clarity, that would help a lot.

Site Management, Finance Crisis, and the EC Community

This thread is here to facilitate a cross sphere conversation for Emerald Chronicles concerning the 2017 budget/location agenda. Please post detailed information that you have on proposals. Please keep side chatter and gif-fing to a minimum. And please have a reasonably safe and wonderful day.

NOTR is here to support EC in its decision, but the board and it's officers are not responsible for EC community decisions. We facilitate and coordinate.

Thank You,
Your Officers

Finance Update: 1/27/2017
In total we have around $1200 dollars. After next month's rent, we will be a couple hundred off from the following month. We are really close to being at our monthly goal which is much better than last month's situation. Thank you everyone for supporting your community. Stay safe and have fun.

Hey everybody!

Thanks for all the help!

We came in under budget this year. That being said, if you didn't give me receipts yet please email or send them to me so I can be prepared with funds soon. Ideally within the next two weeks.

Thanks!

The 2016 Boys and Girls Club Haunted House was a success. Kids were scared, adults were scared, and we were thrilled. This could not have been done without all of you, and you are all amazing. Thank you.

Time sheets and stuff will be going out to HSTs either tomorrow or Monday after they are cleaned up. After, if for some reason your hours don't seem right, talk to me and we will dig into our memory banks and perhaps someone elses'.

Reimbursements will be discussed over the next couple weeks and we can hope to have those finished by the end of November at the latest. I expect that we will have everything sorted earlier than that.

We did great. You did great.
Thank you.

A shout out to everyone wanting to participate in the Haunted House this week.

Setup on Thursday and Friday will begin after the club's business hours at 5pm. We will be working into the night and getting as much done as possible before Saturday.

If you have not already joined the event, please do so, so that you can get up to date information as the week progresses.

If you purchase something for the Haunted House and wish to be reimbursed, make certain to keep your receipts and turn them in to Justin or Elspeth.

We need all the help you can get, so we thank you in advance for everything you do.
