I grew up in South Florida and graduated high school in 2010. I came out as bisexual in 2008 and was an active member of Pompano Beach High School's Gay Straight Alliance. I transferred to Broward Virtual School, when PBHS refused to allow me to take dual-enrollment courses (AKA running start in WA) as a Junior. I completed 1.5 years worth of credits at Broward College before I graduated high scho
ol. Using the money I saved up from my part-time jobs at Einstein Bros Bagel's and Tate's Gaming Satellite, I moved across the US to Redmond, WA right after my high school graduation. Since then I've worked full-time in Life Insurance, Tech, and Public Transit for local Washington organizations as a Business Leader & Project Coordinator. I marched with March for Our Lives through Seattle Center to advocate for gun regulation in 2018. I am a domestic abuse and sexual violence survivor, who changed their entire legal name as part of my divorce process in 2019 to reclaim my identity. I moved back in with my parents in Florida in 2019 (before the Pandemic began) to more easily manage my divorce process and trauma recovery. In 2021, I protested with Black Lives Matter in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Most recently, I walked in solidarity with Pro-Palestinian locals from Westlake to 2nd Avenue on 12/9 with plans to attend as many Saturday protests as possible in the future. One of my top political goals is to destroy the concept of "career politicians" in our government. The politicians that stay in government the longest are steeped in corruption from various lobbyist groups. I also would like to remove lobbying from our politics; if that is impossible, I will support a Pro-Humanitarian lobbyist group that actually works for the American people's welfare as well as the welfare of the people we're torturing in other countries like Palestine and Congo. I will defund the military industrial complex and use that funding for the American people. I will support legal repercussions for and the dismantling of the US based white phosphorous plant illegally supplying Israel with UN banned weapons. What I will focus on during my time in Senate:
- Palestine liberation & reparations
- Congo liberation & reparations
- American BIPOC liberation & reparations
- Defunding the military industrial complex
- Term & Age limits for Congress, SCOTUS, & the Presidency
- Socialized healthcare for all
- Complete/total student loan forgiveness
- Free college for all
- Protecting LGBTQIA+ rights (trans rights especially)
- Defund the militarized police
- Codify Roe V. Wade. & protect women's right to choose.
- Sensible gun regulation
- Employee Bill of Rights & Union Solidarity
- Raising the minimum wage to $25 per hour to reflect inflation
- Advocate for an investigation of "ghost jobs" posted by organizations that received PPE loans during the pandemic. Ensure consequences are enacted on organizations who have no intention of actually hiring anyone.
- Removing giant real estate corporations from the single-home real estate market by limiting the number of properties that can be owned by one person/organization to 2 properties (via taxation beyond 2 properties) to increase the housing inventory across the US.
- Enacting rental pricing regulation to compensate for wages/salaries not keeping up with inflation.
- Heavier regulation of grocery and retail stores that needlessly hike their prices for their shareholders benefit.
- Lowering the interest rate by at least 3%.
- Repairing our broken immigration system to make legal immigration to America easier.
