Seattle Spiritual Community Center is dedicated to fostering a supportive community for people of all spiritual paths (including no path at all!). Offering a broad variety of events, workshops, and speakers, the Center seeks to bring people together to assist in the spiritual and personal growth of the Seattle Community. SSCC hosts spiritually minded practitioner services; space rental for offices, workshops, and gatherings; events and classes; and spiritual products for sale.

I can't think of a better way to spend an evening, than by stopping by Zebra Cellars in Woodinville to support and "meet the artist," Nina Crampton! Nina's work is stunning and you won't want to miss an opportunity to see it up close. TEND Community has been so fortunate to have Nina teaching art classes for us, and if you haven't met her in person yet, stop by on Friday and say hello!

Stop by Zebra Cellars anytime between 5:00-8:00 pm, grab a glass of wine, or enjoy a tasting, and celebrate a local woman artist and TEND friend!

How do you cultivate joy in your life? For me, spending time with friends, eating yummy food, drinking wine, laughing and connecting are things that bring me joy. Sometimes though, I need to not be so busy. I need to put aside some time for myself.
To stop.
To breathe.
To be grateful.
To have heart connections with myself and others.
On Friday morning I am looking forward to setting aside some time to do just that. Linette Bixby, certified mindfulness teacher, is planning twice monthly gatherings on alternating Monday and Friday mornings to support any of us who need the space and guidance to work on cultivating joy in our lives.
Linette is a mother, wife, teacher, writer, friend, ally, and mentor. She gets it. Spending just five minutes in her presence leaves you feeling seen, heard, connected and joyful. Can't we all use a little (or a lot) of that?
The first of hopefully many "Cultivating Joy" gatherings will be on Friday, August 26th from 9:30-10:30. We will have tea, coffee, and time well spent together.

Deep Dive Book Club is back in August, and luckily Third Place Books Lake Forest Park has plenty of copies. With hot weather predicted for the next couple of days, it's a good time to find a cool place to relax and enjoy this powerful and thought provoking novel by Jodi Picoult. Judit Csikos is an artist, author, Certified Medical Support Clinical Hypnotherapist, fellow of the International Board of Hypnotherapy, Spiritual Coach, Reiki Master, and Om chanting circle leader.

Today, she offers her services to the general public, realizing that so many seek inner guidance. She also offers a variety of online workshops to assist adults along their journey.

At TEND Community, "women supporting women" happens in two ways:
1. When you show up to a class or event, you are directly supporting the instructor and their own personal business.
2. When you offer to instruct, you are supporting women in the community by offering your talents, time, and opportunity for connection with them.
