Grays Harbor Poggie Club

Grays Harbor Poggie Club We are a non profit organization dedicated to enhancing the opportunities to enjoy out door recreation here on The Harbor and throughout the state.

We are all volunteers who maintain a hatchery project on a local river through volunteer hours and donations. Any disparaging remarks regarding tribal fishing or WDFW policies will result in removal of post and poster being banned from posting further.

It’s our downtime after a busy fall at the Mayr Hatchery so what did we do today? Some of us volunteered at YMCA Camp Bishop to help split up firewood for the up coming camping season. Along with the YMCA staff and other volunteers from the Y we got the log pile split up before the rain started today.

Today was the first time this season we spawned Coho. We had a pretty large turnout come and help today. A biologist from the State was on hand to take kidney, spleen and ovarian fluid samples. Thank you to Karen and Steve for providing lunch once again. Even though Poggie Loren couldn’t help with the spawning process he was able to make it for Karen’s chocolate chip cookies.
