🍸 SESSION TWO OF EDUCATION MONTH IS HERE! 🍸

Week one was an absolute blast—and we’re just getting started. 🔥

Join us for The Bitter Lab on September 14th at Life On Mars for an afternoon dedicated to one of our favorite concepts in cocktails: BITTER.

We’ll dive into what “bitter” really means, how to use it intentionally, and put that knowledge into practice with some hands-on applications alongside your friends from Opal, Malört, Fernet-Branca, and Underberg.

Get ready to get pickled! 🥒 Kick things off with us on Labor Day at Il Bistro for a Bloody Mary Bar + learn the science of preservation - you don’t want to miss.

Huge shoutout to Secret Valley Produce for bringing the freshest veggies to brine, and Wolfert Distilling for showcasing some of their award-winning lineup, including jalapeno and basil vodkas. You’ll build your own Bloody Mary and finish them at our self-garnish station all while learning the art of pickling from the pros.

Mark your calendars, because September is USBG Education Month! USBG WA has a great collection of events lined up for you each Monday in September.

Monday, September 7th Il Bistro will be hosting Wolfhert Distilling where we'll be discussing the science of pickling with a fun Bloody Mary bar for you to experiment with.

Monday, September 14th Life on Mars is hosting Bitter Lab with Opal, Underberg, Fernet and Malört!

Monday, September 21st, Brennivin is hosting a Better Buyer Seminar, location TBD.

Finally we'll be wrapping up the month with a collaborative camping trip with Oregon USBG the 27th - the 29th at Millersylvania State Park!

More details will be released for each event in the coming weeks. We can't wait to see you all!

CAMPARI DAY OF SERVICE signups are open for our volunteer day at Food Lifeline!

Join the bar community as we give back and spend time repacking food at the food bank for hungry families in need in Washington.

Afterwards, Campari is hosting a happy hour and lunch to thank you all for the good work and camaraderie. Last year was a ton of fun, thank you to Wilson Trang for coordinating and this year will be wonderful.

Our goal is to get 15-20 members to sign up, so please invite your friends and we can’t wait to see you there!

VENUE CHANGE! The USBG meeting is moving to the Wash on July 13th at noon!

We are gonna be here having Negronis, talking Gin and mastering some spreadsheets with Scott Rixe! If you have never heard Scott talk about excel, you’re in for a treat! Make sure to bring any spreadsheets you need fixing so you can follow along too!
