Thank you for an incredible Spring 2026 season!
The Lions League and Development League have officially wrapped up, and we want to extend a massive thank you to all the athletes, coaches, and parents who made this season so successful. You all brought the energy and committed to the process every single week.
What is next?
As a reminder, there will be no Lions League or Development League this summer. The next session will begin in September 2026.
But while the leagues take a break, the real work begins. LocalHoops Summer Camps are designed to push you past your comfort zone, refine your fundamentals, and prepare you for the upcoming season. Great players are made in the offseason. Are you ready to put the work in?

We let the dust settle, but we are still celebrating. Huge shoutout to Team Texas and Team USC for taking home the Spring 2026 Lions League Championship!
A massive thank you to all the parents, coaches, and athletes who made this season so awesome.
Quick heads up: Lions League is taking a break this summer. Use this time to get in the lab and work on your game. We will be back on the court for the Fall and Winter sessions.

The harsh truth? Lifting weights will not make you invincible.

But skipping the weight room? That is a fast track to the bench.

At our Unstoppable event, Tasha Whelan dropped the ultimate reality check for hoopers. Even the best pros in the world get hurt, but strength training is how you build your armor. It is not just about looking strong. It is about bulletproofing your joints, ligaments, and tendons to handle the heavy impact of the game.

When you put in the extra work off the court, you do two massive things:

Minimize your risk: You protect your body from the everyday wear and tear of a long season.

Speed up recovery: If an accident does happen, your baseline strength helps you bounce back way faster.

The work you do outside the lines dictates your longevity inside them. Stop skipping the extra reps and start taking care of your body.

Lions League Spring 2026: The Standard is Set
We ended the season with a boom.
The Spring 2026 Lions League Championship on June 14th was the perfect way to cap off an incredible run. We want to extend a massive thank you to all the parents, coaches, and athletes who made this season possible. Your dedication, energy, and ex*****on are what made this such an awesome league. It takes a true community to build something great, and you all showed up and put in the work every single weekend.
What is next for the Lions League?
Please note that there will be no Lions League running this summer. We want our athletes to take this time to get in the lab, focus on their individual development, and prepare their minds and bodies for the next level.
The Lions League will officially return for the Fall and Winter sessions. Keep an eye on our page and website for upcoming registration announcements so you can secure your spot.
Celebrate the wins, learn from the losses, and get back to the grind. We will see you in the Fall/Winter.

Finding Your Voice on the Court
Great teams are built on tough conversations.

During our Unstoppable event, Talia Walton addressed a very real situation that many athletes face: dealing with a teammate who puts others down when the coach is not around. When you bring a group of people together from different backgrounds, not everyone is going to match perfectly. But how you handle that friction dictates the success of your team.

Talia breaks down a clear approach for handling these moments:

Stand up for yourself: It is important to find your voice and have those tough conversations, especially as a young woman.

Address it directly: Start by trying to have a direct conversation with that specific teammate.

Seek a mediator: If direct communication does not work, tap into a coach or a trusted adult to bridge the gap and help navigate the situation.

Sometimes, the teammates you clash with the most early on become your best friends later down the road. Learning how to navigate conflict, advocate for yourself, and protect your team's culture is a skill that will serve you well beyond the basketball court.

This weekend, Our Lady LocalHoops 13u Purple, 12u Pruple and 11u Black are packing up and heading to Anaheim, California, for the Hyper Her Hoops SummerJam Tournament. Taking our game out of state means facing new competition.
