Children's Trust Fund Alliance The Children’s Trust Fund Alliance (formerly the National Alliance of Children’s Trust & Prevention Funds

Children’s Trust Funds are linchpins for the prevention movement and infrastructure in their respective states. They leverage public and private resources, work collaboratively with partners from early childhood, child welfare, mental health and other fields that support families by enabling them to provide their children with safe, healthy and nurturing childhoods. Their primary focus is on preve

nting child abuse and neglect before it occurs and promoting positive child development and strong family support. The Alliance works closely with national policymakers, federal agencies, and other national organizations to ensure that national programs and policies focused on preventing abuse and neglect are based on sound research and proven practice. The Alliance is an active partner with the two federal agencies that invest most heavily in preventing child abuse before it occurs – the Federal Office of Child Abuse and Neglect (OCAN) and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Alliance also engages with many other national organizations to accomplish its mission. In addition, the Alliance joins with those most directly able to ensure optimal child well being and to prevent abuse and neglect: parents and other community members. The Alliance works in partnership with parents and other community members to build safe, stable families, caring homes and healthy communities.
