In its twenty first year – an easy guided walking historical tour of the Pike / Pine and Broadway areas of Capitol Hill and of Seattle's most historically haunted locations, famous ghosts and dozens of local stories sure to scare even the bravest of persons.
Hear stories of ghosts, secret history and cautionary tales such as Seattle’s first serial killer Dr. Linda Hazzard who lived on Capitol Hill, the Northwest's Secret Rum Runner Roy Olmstead, Bruce Lee’s encounter with a ghost and stories of apparitions and floating w**e bottles witnessed in Capitol Hill restaurants.
Step inside the Oddfellows building now considered to be Seattle's most haunted building with staff accounts of apparitions and activity, hear the secrets of prohibition history and the ghosts in local area.

Announcement - How the Northwest’s most Mysterious rock from the Maury Island UFO Incident is connected to the JFK assassination

The Northwest Museum of Legends and Lore is excited to announce a match of its UFO rock from Maury Island to recently released FBI photos from the 1947 Maury Island UFO Incident but also its match to smelter slag from Tacoma.

Additionally recently disclosed FBI documents on the JFK assassination show a greater connection to Fred Crisman and the suspects in the JFK Assassination in addition to his subpoena by the 1968 Jim Garrison New Orlean’s Grand Jury than previously thought.
The newly released FBI documents and statements from Oswald’s girlfriend remarkably show connections with suspects Guy Bannister, Clay Shaw, Michael Riconoscuito (Octopus Murders) and Jack Ruby.

The Maury Island UFO Incident
In 1947 a man named Harold Dahl claims that on June 21, 1947 while salvaging logs south of Maury Island claims he saw six doughnut shaped disks hovering. One disk appeared to be in trouble and dropped two tons of dense black lava like rock (or slag) into the water. The story and analysis of this rock has always been a mystery.
But it was Dahl’s Supervisor Fred Crisman who was also pushing this UFO story and mysterious black rock that years later would be investigated and subpoenaed by Jim Garrison’s New Orleans Grand Jury on the JFK Assassination. Fred Crisman would be the first person Clay Shaw - the only person arrested for conspiracy of the assassination of JFK called when he was arrested underlining the network of secret connections and associations.

On June 24, 1947, a pilot and Federal Marshall by the name of Kenneth Arnold saw nine disks skipping across the North face of Mt. Rainier was to become the sighting in which the media coined the term Flying Saucer. Arnold would be interviewed by the local and national press including Edward R. Murrow and his sighting made radio and news headlines around the world. Arnold would later be interviewed by 1st Lt. Frank M. Brown along with Capt. William L. Davidson from the Fourth Air Force and would be asked to investigate the Maury Island UFO sighting.
On Aug. 1, 1947 the B-25 Bomber carrying samples of the black rock for analysis crashed near Kelso Washington when the left engine caught on fire. Newspapers hinted at sabotage as a mysterious informant had contacted two newspaper reporters claiming the plane had been brought down by a 20mm cannon.
As the Air Force formally separated from the Army on Aug. 1, 1947, this made the B-25 bomber crash the Air Force’s first plane crash.

In 2007 the NW Museum of Legends and Lore was given a slag like black rock by Elmer Frombach who stated he picked up the unusual rock on a beach as a young boy when he lived on Maury Island and his residency on Maury Island was confirmed by the museum.

The new UFO files released show photos by the 4th AF of slag which interestingly who two of the samples match the slag given to us by Frombach. See letter on page 14 which lists photos #3-7 of slag.

Also recently Filmmaker and Researcher Bryan Shickley obtained a sample of slag from the area of a Tacoma smelting plant and the surface features and composition appear to be identical to the point the Directors of the museum believe the slag presented to the Air Force Investigators was from the Tacoma smelting plant.

Next year will be the 80th anniversary of the Maury Island UFO Incident and we want to encourage further investigation into the crash of the B-25 bomber given what we now know about the covert network of Fred Crisman, Michael Riconoscuito, Thomas Beckham (introduced to Crisman by Dahl) and Guy Bannister (NW Idaho FBI UFO investigator in 1947) and their connection to the JFK assassination.

Amazingly, we have also now confirmed the role of Guy Bannister as former FBI Investigator in charge of Northwest UFO sightings back in 1947. It is believed his office oversaw the signed confession of Fred Crisman and his colleague Harold Dahl that the incident of slag allegedly dumped by a UFO over Maury Island on June 21st never happened.

The museum is now researching Oswald's girlfriend Judy Vary Baker's knowledge of her stepping in to do biomedical warfare research over Michael Riconoscuito and his electronic bugging for Guy Bannister.

The implications are that Fred Crisman who we now know was with with OSS and the CIA was much more of a Black Ops and possible saboteur and is still a prime suspect of the B-25 Bomber crash if it was shot down with a 20mm cannon per a mysterious informant who had contacted two newspaper reporters. Crisman’s military past was a pilot who knew night flying on a P-61 as a military bomber and according to Investigator Dr. Larry Happanen was the only plane with a 20mm cannon at McChord Air Field that night.

Ghost Tour from Halloween 2024 at its last stop in front of the Mexican Consulate - formerly the Harvard Exit Theater and home of the Women's Century Club the most haunted theater in Seattle. The tour is joined by Deputy Consul of Mexico Mr. Gerardo Guiza who relates some of the history of the building. The Capitol Hill Historical Ghost Tour will continue every Sat. at 5pm (weather permitting) meeting in front of Elliott Bay Bookstore.
