Muslim Housing Services (MHS) extends its sincere gratitude to Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA) for their continued sponsorship and support of our Qurbani meat distribution efforts.

With IRUSA’s generous support, MHS distributed pre-packaged Qurbani meat to low-income households across King County, including families rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness.

We were grateful to have IRUSA volunteers join us on-site, helping create a warm and welcoming experience for the families we serve. A few clients also received IRUSA-branded water bottles, which volunteers handed out as a thoughtful gesture during the distribution.

For many households facing rising living costs, this support helped ease food expenses and provided access to nourishing meals during an important time of year.

We deeply value IRUSA’s continued generosity and commitment to supporting communities facing hardship and the meaningful impact their contributions have in helping families access essential resources.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗶𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

Alhamdulillah, yesterday, MHS collected and distributed Qurbani meat to families across our programs, and we will be collecting again today at our final location.

Through your generosity and the support of Islamic Center of Redmond (ICOR), Islamic Center of Eastside (ICOE Main), and Sammamish Muslim Association (SMA), households facing ongoing food insecurity, including formerly homeless and low‑income families, received nutritious meat to help sustain them beyond Eid.

Your kindness continues to uplift our community in meaningful ways.

A Day to Remember at Woodland Park Zoo 🐾

Our MHS families recently enjoyed a magical day exploring Woodland Park Zoo, and for many, it was their very first visit. Laughter, curiosity and wide eyed wonder filled every moment.

Thanks to our ongoing collaboration with the Seattle Police Department (SPD), families who have faced homelessness and financial hardship were able to enjoy a carefree day surrounded by nature and animals. SPD had kindly arranged transportation for our clients in their police vans and accompanied families throughout the day, ensuring everyone felt supported and welcomed. MHS provided lunch, giving families a chance to relax, share a meal, and enjoy time together in a different setting.

We extend our sincerest thanks to SPD for arranging this meaningful excursion once again. Their continued support helps create memories that strengthen family bonds and build community spirit for the families we serve.
