We need volunteers to help staff games, run the event, or just bring desserts to make this a wonderful event for our kids. Thanks to everyone who donated to help cover school supply costs! We received $9,590 in donations, covering 74% of the $12,940 total cost! The remaining amount will need to be covered by our general fundraising drive later this year. Pre-buying school supplies ensures every child has what they need, and makes supplies management so much easier for the teachers! Thank you!

Please join us for our first PTA general meeting of the year on Monday, October 5, in the cafeteria from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. The agenda includes plans for the year, discussing events for our calendar, providing a financial update, and updates from our committee chairs. We'll also hear from our Principal, Ms. Davis, about how the start of the school year is going. You do not need to be a PTA member to attend! (Meeting is also available over Zoom but we have very limited A/V capabilities in the cafeteria so the meeting can be difficult to follow online.)

Save the Date! Fairmount Park's annual fall fun festival, Falcon Fest, is scheduled for Friday, November 6, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, free for all Fairmount families! We are looking for a few parents to join the Falcon Fest planning committee to make this event great. Time commitment is only 1-2 meetings gathering ideas and organizing based on last year's template, and then 1-2 hours of volunteer time to gather supplies and setup for the event. Give your input on what you'd like to see (food trucks, games, etc). Email [email protected] if you might be able to help plan this year’s event. We are also always looking for volunteers for a 1 hr shift at Falcon Fest, signup sheet coming soon or email [email protected] if you’d like to help!

The PTA board is still looking for a few more people to fill roles for this year. This is a great opportunity to help support the school! Most roles take only 2-3hr/month, or could even be just helping put on one event a year. If you're able to help fill a role or are just interested in learning more, please email Ryan ([email protected]) to set up an informational coffee/chat. We particularly welcome K-2 parents to get involved!
