Girls Excellence Movement - GEM We mentor and build leadership capacity for girls to excel as change leaders in all disciplines! We Undertake the following:

The Girls Excellence Movement (GEM) is an award winning IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organisation registered in Ghana and the State of Washington, USA to build capacity for girls and inspires them to aspire to greater heights in transformational leadership. The bigger agenda is to groom more women for the decision making arenas, in all fields of human endeavour, from politics to aeronaut

ics. Capacity Building
We teach girls valuable soft skills for achieving through our monthly Inspiration-On-Wheels program.

2. Mentoring
We inspire girls through storytelling and coaching to aspire to Leadership in all spheres of life.

3. Advocacy
We engage in menstrual hygiene, Period Poverty, gender equality advocacy and the distribution of sanitary pads to keep beneficiaries clean, comfortable and confident in the classroom during their me**es.

4. Activism
We run campaigns and programmes to create awareness about the adverse effects of gender based violence, sexism, objectification of girls, pay inequalities. Our work contributes to the attainment of SDGS 3,4,5,10and 17.

GEM won the National Philanthropy Awards for Girls Education Advocacy in 2021. Mission

At the Prampram Technical Institute outreach, we asked some students to share what they learned.

Priscilla's answer stopped us: "I learnt that we can aspire or achieve our goals when we focus."

Not tomorrow. Not someday. Now.

She didn't stop at learning — she took action. Priscilla created her very first vision board, and the excitement on her face? Unforgettable.

That's the power of GEM Inspiration-on-Wheels. We don't just talk about dreams. We help girls build them — with scissors, glue, and a whole lot of belief.

Behind every empowered girl is a volunteer who refused to stay silent. During the GEM Inspiration-on-Wheels outreach at Prampram Technical Institute, our breakout sessions were the heartbeat of the event.

Here’s what our volunteers covered:
- Girls Dreaming Out Loud – Creating safe spaces for girls to name their dreams without fear or shame.
- Vision Boards – Helping girls visualize their future so they can begin to pursue it.
- Menstrual Hygiene – Breaking stigma, distributing pads, and teaching girls to own their cycles with confidence.
- Building Confidence – Practical tools to fight self-doubt and speak up.
- Effective Learning Skills – Study techniques that turn effort into excellence.
