The Girls Excellence Movement (GEM) is an award winning IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organisation registered in Ghana and the State of Washington, USA to build capacity for girls and inspires them to aspire to greater heights in transformational leadership. ics. Capacity Building
We teach girls valuable soft skills for achieving through our monthly Inspiration-On-Wheels program.
2. Mentoring
We inspire girls through storytelling and coaching to aspire to Leadership in all spheres of life.
3. Advocacy
We engage in menstrual hygiene, Period Poverty, gender equality advocacy and the distribution of sanitary pads to keep beneficiaries clean, comfortable and confident in the classroom during their me**es.
4. Activism
We run campaigns and programmes to create awareness about the adverse effects of gender based violence, sexism, objectification of girls, pay inequalities. Our work contributes to the attainment of SDGS 3,4,5,10and 17.
