Do you need help planning your estate? VABAW and Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP) will be hosting a free Wills Clinic in Renton on October 24 for low-income residents of King County. Vietnamese-speaking attorneys and Vietnamese translators will be volunteering to provide services in Vietnamese.

You must schedule an appointment in advance via telephone at (425) 747-7274. Walk-in appointments will not be available. Please share widely with friends, family, and community members!

VABAW had a great time at Vietnamese Heritage Night on August 4, 2026, the Mariners’ first-ever game-day celebration of Vietnamese culture at T-Mobile Park! Our members, families, and friends enjoyed an evening of baseball, community, and pride, along with exclusive Mariners-themed Vietnamese Heritage Night T-shirts.

Best of all, $5 from every ticket sold supported Friends of Little Saigon - Seattle and its work to promote Vietnamese culture, support local businesses, and strengthen community life in Seattle’s Little Saigon.

🎉 VABAW's Summer Social was a hit!

On July 30, nearly 30 attorneys and law students joined VABAW at the Little Saigon Creative for an evening of connection, community, and celebration. Attendees enjoyed networking, learning about VABAW's latest initiatives, and sharing a delicious meal from Tan Dinh Deli.

A highlight of the evening was our networking bingo activity, which sparked conversations and strengthened connections through our shared Vietnamese heritage. Guests also enjoyed raffle prizes, including Seattle Mariners tickets to Vietnamese Heritage Night, treats from Anh Oi Bakery and Drip Drip Coffee, and books by Vietnamese American authors.

The event also showcased VABAW's commitment to the Vietnamese community. Guests heard from Hong Chhuor of Friends of Little Saigon - Seattle about the Landmark Project, which will create a community center in the heart of Little Saigon.

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, six Washington AAPI bar associations came together to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with an inspiring Judges Panel and Reception on May 29, 2026 at the Washington State Bar Association. VABAW was proud to help organize the event alongside the Asian Bar Association of Washington (ABAW), Filipino Lawyers of Washington (FLOW), Korean American Bar Association of Washington (KABA), Seattle Chinese Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association of Washington (SABAW).

The evening featured a distinguished panel of jurists — Justice Theo Angelis, Hon. Monica Cary, Hon. Maureen McKee, and Hon. Benjamin Santos — with thoughtful moderation by Theana Aromin and Jovina Chi. Before a large and attentive audience, the panelists shared powerful reflections on judicial service, leadership, and the importance of representation on the bench. Their stories were moving and insightful.

Following the panel, attendees continued the celebration over delicious food, dessert, and milk tea, enjoying time to connect across bars and strengthen community. The event was a meaningful reminder of what AAPI Heritage Month represents: honoring diverse voices, building fellowship across communities, and uplifting the next generation of leaders in the law.
