On July 12, join Puget Soundkeeper and River Access Paddle Program for another cleanup event along the Upper Duwamish. You will have the option to participate in the land-based walking cleanup, or rent a kayak or participate in the BYOB (bring your own boat) option for the water-based cleanup.

What do tires have to do with orca protection?

Toxic chemicals from tires wash straight into our shared waters every time it rains! These chemicals have harmful effects on salmon, and are devastating to coho salmon in particular.

Protecting orca also means protecting their food source.

🐳 The whales have come ashore! 🐋

partnered with to create SeattleFWC26 Beacons: Neon-lit whale tail sculptures as part of the FIFA World Cup festivities, which bring the spirit of Seattle to local fan zones in celebration of the beautiful game ⚽️

We’d like to give a whale-sized thank you to our friends at for donating this installation along the newly revamped Centennial Park in honor of Puget Sound and with a special shoutout to Puget Soundkeeper. 🌊

☀️ Enki the God of Water returns! 🌊

Puget Soundkeeper will be participating in the Fremont Solstice Parade on June 20 and will be carrying our 15′ tall puppet, Enki, the God of Water, in the parade.

We need one person to carry Enki (he’s a backpack puppet), and additional folks (4-5) to manage his arms, eyes (yes, they move!) and clothing.
