Chiapas Education Project

Chiapas Education Project Indigenous-led nonprofit reducing e-waste & expanding tech access.

In Chiapas, we support schools with refurbished computers; in the Pacific Northwest (Coast Salish Territory), we provide tech for low-income individuals in need. Our goal is to provide access to technology and skills to young people in southern Mexico, to enable them to launch and sustain careers in their communities. We aim to ease the burden on Grandmother Earth by reducing landfill waste and re

purposing recycled electronics. The first step of this project is to work directly with students in Arriaga, Chiapas, to set up a computer lab and teach them basic computer repair skills. These skills will empower them to launch careers within their own community as an alternative to fleeing to the US.

If there were an award for the best fiscal sponsor, we’d nominate . ❤️ Their support has helped Chiapas Education Project grow from a grassroots idea into a project that refurbishes computers, reduces electronic waste, and provides technology training in underserved communities.

Much love to our brother Chema for supporting the live music at today’s fundraiser. It was a gift to hear songs from the Purépecha Nation. After the fundraiser, as we soaked in the medicine of the sun, a relative walked by wearing the exact same yellow bandana as Chema. Since Chema is an identical twin, we couldn’t help but laugh and say that even though his brother wasn’t there, the Ancestors made sure he still had a bandana twin. 💛🎶

For those who weren’t able to make it to the fundraiser but would still like to support, we invite you to donate at 350tacoma.org. Your support helps 350Tacoma continue providing a community hub where organizations can host meetings, workshops, trainings, and community events at no charge. Every donation helps cover the cost of keeping this space available so our community can continue gathering, organizing, and building a better future together.

Today we joined South End Indivisible at their Hospitality Table outside the USCIS immigration office in Tukwila to provide free coffee, support, and community care for our relatives attending immigration appointments. ☕🖤

When I used to renew my DACA permit, I noticed many people, especially Spanish-speaking elders and relatives who came alone, struggled to figure out how to pay for parking or use the parking machines. Today, we wanted to help ease a little bit of that stress.

You could see the frustration and anxiety many of our relatives carried while trying to navigate systems and machines in a language they may not fully understand. But you could also see the relief. One relative who had taken the bus after his appointment was deeply grateful just to receive a warm cup of coffee and a moment of kindness after a long day.

Alongside helping relatives navigate parking, we also handed out community safety kits that included whistles, Know Your Rights cards, and emergency information in Spanish and English.

Much love to for allowing me to join the Hospitality Table effort today and for continuing to show up for our migrant community with compassion and solidarity.

Please consider volunteering so the Hospitality Table can continue to be available more days during USCIS business hours for relatives who may need support, translation help, coffee, or simply kindness while navigating the immigration process.

Sometimes solidarity looks like showing up in small but meaningful ways for one another.

Grateful that this weekend we were able to send 100 pounds of refurbished electronics to Guatemala for our first computer donation project at a school for our relatives there. ♻️💻🇬🇹

Over the last three years, we have donated more than 450 computers, helping reduce electronic waste while expanding access to technology and bridging the digital gap for communities in need.

On 6/15, Relatives of All My Relations Coalition ( ) will travel to Guatemala to Ceremony for Wajxaqib’ B’atz’ in the land of the Quetzal alongside relatives from Canada and Coast Salish Territory. The Eagle, Condor, and Quetzal prophecy speaks of reconnecting the peoples of the North and South in unity, healing, and balance.

Much love to our community at and for all the computer donations that made this possible. We have now completely emptied our storage and are currently out of inventory.

Grateful for this Lenovo All-in-One touchscreen computer donated by a community member at . 💻✨

We refurbished it like new and passed it on to a relative in Seattle who needed one.
Because of our community’s support, we can restore computers properly and offer a one-year warranty with every donation—our relatives deserve quality, not junk.

Thank you for helping us keep tech out of the landfill and in the hands of the people. 🫶🏿🫶🏽🫶🏼♻️ 🫶🏼🫶🏻🫶
